List of Sabina Casula's Reviews
She is the most caring and professional doctor I've ever meet. She cares about her patients as we were her family. Highly recommended
Dr. Casula is an excellent physician who makes me feel that I am in the center of her attention. She was very professional and helped my diabetes get back under control.
She was my endocrinologist before moving to the VA system. She is a considerate and thorough specialist, always came prepared for her visits to the patient. She will answer all your questions and never in a hurry to see the next patient. She had a holistic approach to patient care. She always exhibited a good grasp of medicine even outside her specialization area (I know because I am a Physician). I will recommend her to anybody in search of an excellent endocrinologist.
I call to make an appointment with her On March, the date they gave me was for August( 5 months since the moment you call for the appointment) Since I was really needing this appointment I agreed. On June 25, I received a phone call from her office CANCELLING my appointment because the Dr Is not going to be available this day. So they try to reschedule me for October ( 2 months after the original date) Neddless to say I am not going to see this doctor, I found this very wrong.
Had a 2 cm thyroid nodule that was still indeterminate after 2 biopsies by a local radiologist. A good local endocrinologist here in Clearwater, FL sent me to the endocrine surgeon to prepare for removing my entire thyroid due to atypical cells if the third biopsy came out the same. I traveled 5 hours by car to see Dr. Casula because I knew she had practiced with an eminent endocrinologist now in Chicago who has been a leader, with others, in redefining one kind of supposed thyroid cancer, so that it is no longer considered a cancer. See "When is a thyroid cancer no longer a cancer?" in Volume 8, Issue 3 (Summer 2016) of Empower, the patient magazine of the American College of Endocrinology. This magazine can be found online at the ACE website. Dr. Casula immediately told me at most she would only remove one lobe, leaving me the other 1/2 because the very small nodules there were not concerning. She also looked at all my imaging from 2010 forward and told me that the big nodule essentially had not grown and was indolent, and that malignant nodules are not usually indolent. So she gave what comfort she could right from the beginning. Then she arranged a fine needle biopsy and conducted it herself, very skillfully. Just felt like 5 little stings and over very quickly. Had it been needed, she was ready to use a genetic test on the sample material that had a lower risk of a false positive than the test my prior doctor wanted to use. But, luckily, this time the cytology came back BENIGN. I still have a thyroid gland thanks to Dr. Casula, her skill in getting the appropriate tissue and in selecting a pathologist. In addition to the above, I found her and her staff to be very kind and helpful. I am morbidly obese and have severe motor impairments from brain damage, so I am extra work for any Dr. and staff. Yet they were cheerful, efficient and wonderful at the same time with me. Had the nodule not been benign, I can think of no one else that I would trust more with my thyroid and my life.
I met Dr. Casula few months ago. She is very detailed and asked me many questions. She is friendly, direct and took great deal of time reviewing my case and explaining me everything. I recommended her to all my friends and family members who have thyroid disease.
Dr. Casula is extremely caring and detailed. I strongly recommended her to all my family members and friends who have thyroid diseases.
Dr. Casula is an excellent physician. She spent great deal of time with me during the visit and answered all my questions. There was some waiting to see her but at the end it was worth it!
This person knows how make a sick person feel even worts every time she turn her back on you. And her answer is always, " if you don't like the way I treat you, find another doctor". This person is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever met.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
