They don’t update you about lab results or test. Wait for months to tell you to rush to see specialist doctor don’t call when see anomalies on your result if you don’t call . Answer services don’t answer in a good matter to answer is like they don’t want to work .

This is the U Health (University of Miami) Sylvester Center. I waited months to see a pediatric and adolescent specialist here. I was able to complete the check-in digitally and have our copay processed through their app. Upon arrival, I was still required to check in because I wanted to opt out of some of their clauses in the very extensive and all-inclusive Consent for Treatment form. To my dismay, their policy does not allow for the consent to be parsed. You either authorize consent for EVERYTHING as written, including things that are unrelated to the consultation, or you are not seen by the physician. That alone doesn’t sit right with most patients, let alone a parent. Given that this is a teaching health system, there is a lot thrown into the consultation mix; including the fact that parents are not allowed in the room with their daughter during her physical exam or for the majority of the consultation between her and the medical student. I wasn’t the only parent—other moms sat in a waiting room while their children were in with the physician and the medical student! With that, we don’t have a choice if we want our child to receive diagnostic health care from “one of six specialists in the country.” In other words, they have a chokehold on us—either we get our child the care they need with this “exceptional specialist” under ALL their terms, or go elsewhere.

Amazing team of professionals…..

This hospital does nit care about the mental health or well-being of their patients. They do not allow a father to see his children while battling cancer. They have zero ability to know what is best for people. They do not care or support the families going through this battle.

Impossible to get the bloodwork department on the phone.

Nurses and technicians are a pleassuare They care and treat you well but the front desk ladies never seems to knowledge you at all after standing there for minutes they stop talking to each other and finally ask can we help you? With attitude. People come here bcs we need too not bcs we want too please be consider to others

Muy mal trato por la enfermera Lourdes Alonso en el departamento de CTU hoy 07/03/2019. No hizo caso a mi reclamaciónr sobre la reacción del medicamento y al comentarle me mando a sentar afuera y si algo pasaba que llamara para todos ir a rescatarme. Una gran falta de respeto a un paciente de hace 8 de ese hospital y que no estoy bajo tratamiento por ningún catarro, sino por una condición médica que gracias a Dios llevo casi 10 años luchando con ella. Y a eso le sumamos que una vez que salió a entregarme los laboratorios no fue capaz de preguntarme cómo me sentía. Espero se haga alguna reflexión para que ningún paciente se tengan que sentir tan lastimados como me sentí yo en el día de hoy. Cuando más que nada deberían de hacernos sentir bien. El resto del personal mis respetos a todos. Son maravillosos.
