Thank you Dr Schatz for saving my life by choosing the correct chemo plan and after care and always listening to me/not rushing the visits. Also RN Karma is the biggest asset to his team with her empathy and kindness.
I have been a patient at The University of Miami Hospital / Sylvester Cancer Center for around 12 years- I go annually for checkups. For the first portion of my care my insurance was not accepted at the facility, but my family and I continued to pay out of pocket as I could only go to one doctor and he happened to be there, let me clarify the doctor is amazing and I could not say enough good things about him. BUT the hospital itself is another story. As I finally got an insurance that is accepted at the facility, I thought it would be much easier. I was dead wrong, almost 2 years ago, I had my procedures and tests and noticed my bill looked incorrect. I did my research to see what they billed my insurance on their end as well as what my insurance was billed for on their direct website, so after NUMEROUS (well over 10) phone calls trying to figure out what the bill was for and how it cost that much knowing I had already paid towards it, almost 2 years later I still haven't received a single call back regarding it, oh aside from the billing department trying to get paid without answering my questions. I finally after having this bill placed on what they called a hold (so it wouldn't go to collections until we figured it out) have paid the bill, because it did in fact did go to collections. My only suggestion if you have to go here is CHECK YOUR BILLS, they will try and squeeze every penny possible.

I would give minus if it was possible. Definitely not recommend UHealth at UMHC Sylvester Imaging!!! The hospital billed me for an X-ray that was never performed. There is no record or report of this procedure in my U-Health dashboard, and the insurance company rejected the claim accordingly. Instead of correcting the error, the hospital’s billing department transferred the charge to me. I provided written documentation explaining that there is no record of this visit or procedure, making it clearly a billing error at best—or potential insurance fraud at worst. Despite multiple communications, the billing department never responded and instead sent the account to collections. Additionally, the hospital staff appeared to exploit patients’ health-related fears to justify unnecessary procedures, significantly inflating out-of-pocket expenses. I completed my mammography screening and gynecological exams with the other healthcare provider the following year without requiring any additional tests and reached the same medical conclusions.
Today I had a procedure with Dr. Patricia Paule Jeudin, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience. From the very beginning, Dr. Jeudin did an amazing job explaining the procedure in detail, walking me through all my options, and making sure I felt informed and empowered. Her professionalism, knowledge, and compassion truly stood out and helped ease my anxiety. I also want to express my deepest gratitude to the nurses Juana Hernández and Janelle Corina. This was my first time having this procedure, and I didn’t know what to expect. I was very nervous, but they were incredibly supportive, kind, and attentive. They constantly checked on me, reassured me, and made sure I was okay every step of the way. Their care meant so much to me—I must have thanked them a hundred times. This entire team is exceptional. Being cared for by such talented, compassionate, and supportive women made a huge difference in my experience. I felt safe, heard, and truly cared for. I am beyond grateful and highly recommend this amazing team.
Saw Rose Marcial, CRT today at Sole MIA. She is the best respiratory therapist because she is comforting, kind and supportive. She helps to make her patients feel empowered and confident. She is a true asset to the hospital.
This place has been a god-sent. They have treated my mother with so much care and professionalism. From the doctors to the front desk staff. Dr. Perez, Dr. Rojas, Dr. Mella-Catinchi, and APRN Cynthia Escobar have worked so hard to fully understand and explore all options for my mothers case. They ran when necessary and always took the time to answer every question we had. We have felt such at ease, in such a difficult situation. They are the absolute best doctors and best team! The front desk also did such a wonderful job and eliminating the burden and stress of having to set up appointments. After every single visit, they would sit us down and do all the calling around and scheduling for us. Not once did we have to pick up the phone to do scheduling ourselves. The nurses were all so kind and empathetic, always willing to spare a few extra minutes to offer a shoulder to cry on. JUST WOW! What an incredible experience. Thank you to UM and there amazing staff! You are everything your professions should aspire to be!
I cannot speak more highly for Dr Alan Livingstone. I had a GIST tumor I went to him from another hospital and Dr for a second opinion. I knew from that initial visit I wanted him as my surgeon. He answered all of my questions and had the greatest bedside manner. The surgery was successful. My time at Jackson Memorial was superb with the care given! My follow up appointment after three weeks with Dr. Livingstone was again wonderful. Answered all my questions and was very caring. Thank you, Dr. Livingstone from the bottom of my heart. You are a true blessing.
I took my cousin this past Monday for an appointment, I must say from the entrance all the way to the actual doctor's office everyone was attentive, helpful, and caring. It was a hectic day for the doctor, however my cousin felt like she was a number. The visit was rather rushed, and lack luster. She had questions and concerns that were not addressed due to lack of time with the doctor rushing through the appointment because he had too many patients scheduled that day. It does not look good as this was our very first appointment. Therefore, we were not impressed, especially when my cousin has a very aggressive cancer. Where is the empathy there!!
So incompetent….. never go here when your life depends on it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
