I love that it is a teaching office. Appointments take a little longer, but you learn a lot more because the doctor is explaining things to the residents ... And sometimes you pick up some things from the residents.

My experience with Dr. Merrill was excellent. He is honest, humble and extremely knowledgable. Many surgeons push you to have surgery, his pros and cons were honest, straightforward and from the heart. I truly appreciated his candor and his follow through with my broken foot. The staff is also caring and very nice. Very happy I found this Dr. :)

Both my wife and I have seen Dr. Merrill. My wife had very successful surgery on her foot over a year ago. Dr. Merrill's bedside manner is without equal. He talked us through the recovery immediately after surgery with pain management advice. He gave us is personal cell phone number and checked in on her at least once a day until the pain subsided. The follow-ups were excellent and he predicted exactly the timing of her recovery. We could not recommend him any higher! Five stars is not enough. He is what you want in a doctor -- professional, caring and human.

Not my best experience; issues with my foot to this day

I had foot surgery with Dr. Merril in 2008 and he ruined my foot, I ended up having 2 more surgeries with him trying to correct the issue he caused, and a 4th surgery later with another doctor. He damaged my foot and caused nerve damage in my foot. Stay away from this doctor.

my experience with this doctor was very disappointed , I went there ,and I was greed by a bunch of students from Barry University doing their intership ,and try to learn about your feet. some of them did not even know how to trim a nail especially womam student that never touch a nail before in their entire life. Finallly got to see DPM Merrill I told him my problem with my foot , and he just mentioned a couple procedure ,but he was not quite sure which one it was the best for my issues ,then he said come back and we talk about it more... like he was not interested in my foot, acted like he did not care about my issues. I gave up on him ,and never make it appointment again , I went to see another doctor that would explain in detail and make you feel trustfull . This is a major problem with most of the doctors now day . they don't explain patient anything and they are doubtful about their performance. In my opinion , he's out shape quite frankly ,he could barely walk I wouldn't let him do my surgery. for those that had rate him high are his student from Barry University so they can get a residency and practice at his office , good luck!!!
