Wish I could leave a ZERO star review. He is awful!!! Never have been so disrespected by a doctor. Still waiting on an authorization for medication and it’s been MONTHS. I have called my ins and they say they have trouble with this office not completing paperwork properly!!! Feel like I can’t ever get an answer. The nurse always dodges my calls and when I finally get her response it’s like she doesn’t know what the correct process is!!! So disappointed. This area needs a better Rheum dr.

Dr Martin is either mentally ill or on something. He was more than an hour late for a 9:00 appointment. When he finally arrived he was irrational and abusive. I left his office in tears. The next day my body was bruised from him poking me with his finger. He and his nurse both called to see how I was. Too late. I’d never go back. I can’t believe he’s still practicing.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. He was rude and ranting. He actually bruised my body because his examination was so rough. I left his office in tears. The next day both he and his nurse called to ask how I was. Too late. I would never set foot in his office again.

Dr Martin is a quack! He should have his license pulled! He recently told a patient, (who was diagnosed years ago and treated by another doctor, with Seronegative RA) that they were making it all up and quote “should check themselves into the psych ward at the Mayo Clinic”. WHO SAYS THAT TO A PATIENT? This person has been treated for RA for years and even had a port put in for treatment. He also told this person that there was no treatment for Fibromyalgia! WHAT A NUT JOB

Without any lab values, xrays, visual assessment or physical assessment, diagnosed knee pain as a result of being a girl and having weak quad strength. Did not order any labs, physical followup, or complete full assessment.

Dr Martin is a horrible dr. I saw him twice, only because I thought I was being too sensitive the first time. At my second visit I quickly realized it was not me but his awful treatment. He talks over you and even raises his voice. “First Do No Harm” is a part of his oath he’s forgotten. He harmed me mentally with his treatment to the point I don’t want to go back and don’t have another dr to turn to. I have Lupus, DDD, fibromyalgia, OA to name a few. For the life of me I don’t understand the unethical treatment of patients. Thankfully my husband told him to leave the room. Even his staff felt bad which shows they heard the way he spoke to me. Research other drs before you make the same mistake with this dr that I did.

I am diagnosed with Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Degenerative Disk Disease and OA as well as other conditions like anxiety disorder. I went to Dr Martin the first time and left in tears. Without even seeing my records he left the room saying I need to lose weight. I’m 5’4” and weighed 160. I admit losing weight may help but what he didn’t know was I had zero cartilage in my left knee and little left in my right so even walking was extremely difficult at best. We called about the way I was treated but decided I’d give him another try and thought maybe I was just overly emotional and sensitive.( He also now had my records but had not even looked at them prior to my appointment) Since that 1st visit I’ve had my left knee totally replaced and throughout that and recovery I’ve only gained 3 pounds. But mentioned my weight again several times. He was extremely condescending at both appointments. Luckily my husband was with me today at my second appointment and witnessed it himself. My husband was on the verge of losing his temper with him and the way he was talking to me and finally told him to leave the room. He doesn’t listen. He interrupts after asking a question and seems to enjoy seeing you starting to get upset. Once you do get upset then he makes you feel more belittled by saying you need to see physiotherapist. No Dr. Martin. I have so much on my plate that I need a dr that might have a tiny bit of compassion. I’m in pain all the time, and don’t ask for pain medication. I do not get restful sleep. I need a dr that will listen to what I’ve been through and come up with a game plan with me. Not make me feel scolded for having all that i do. Not compare what I go through to himself and talk to me as I’m beneath him. Just an awful experience both times. Dr’s like him will give you medical PTSD. First Do No Harm. I can not go back to this dr and advise you not to either. Especially if you’ve been dealing with anxiety and several issues. I have left his office now twice feeling belittled, scolded, anxious and in tears. Why is it so hard to find Drs these days that don’t make you feel worse instead of better.

I was very apprehensive about establishing a new rheumatologist. No need for concern! Dr. Martin greeted me with a welcoming smile and extended hand! I took a detailed summary of my past RA care. We went over it extensively. I left knowing exactly what my plan of care was going to be, and how to begin. He encouraged me to call for any concerns.

Took time to listen and helped me

Dr Martin takes his time with me every time I'm there. I drive all the way from panama city to see him because hes so good.
