UPDATE: Still no sign of Dr. Carter (who we have seen for over 10 months) in the Destin area. Be advised that most all other Urologists in area are "REFERRAL ONLY." We cannot get one from Ascension and they have NO MORE UROLOGISTS in their system... only his records. THIS IS CRAZY. Our insurance requires NO PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN. So, do we ask our Cardiologist for a referral? This is the problem in these Hospital networks... how does a new resident see any physician? We are, now, calling our Urologist in Louisiana whom we haven't seen in over a year to get a referral. They are general UROLOGISTS for Pete's Sake... WHY ARE THEY REQUIRING A REFERRAL FOR GENERAL CARE! WHERE IS DR CARTER? We were told he would be setting up a new office in the area after leaving Ascension Sacred Heart. His patients are being left in the lurch! WE LOVED HIM. 1 STAR REVIEW IS BECAUSE OF HIS "DISAPPEARANCE"

This is less of a review and more of a WHERE DID HE GO!? I had an appointment cancelled and got ghosted. The whole practice is MIA and I have received no information about what happened, why and what I’m to do now. The Ascension Medical Group has let this patient down more than a few times now. The patient/customer service from AMG is lacking. It’s as if they don’t care and just set us patients adrift on an ice flow like you read about in the history books. **UPDATE: AMG responded in a very basic way to my review here. I called the number and left a simple message with the information they requested. "Crickets!" Ghosted again. I have not heard from anyone there. So that creates the feeling of lack of caring for their customers/patients. Or maybe they have so many dissatisfied customers that it takes an inordinate amount of time to work thru the growing list of negative reviews. Set adrift once again.

The receptionist had a difficult time finding me in the system. I stood waiting for almost 10 minutes with excuses of the system not working well that day. Told me I gave her wrong numbers even though she had my card. Friendly but not efficient. Dr Carter was not able to address my medical issue. He apologized for not being able to help and offered no referral or suggestions.
