Dr. Johnston and his staff were very pleasant and professional. The Dr. took his time to talk with us and explain, in layman's terms, the purpose and process of his exam for signs of skin cancer. Dr. Johnston then proceeded to listen to my desired outcomes and perform the necessary medical procedure the remove several skin blemishes of great concern to me. I strongly recommend Dr. Johnston to anyone who has skin care concerns and appreciates a welcoming environment at a doctor's office.

Dr. Johnston had to keep prognosis on hold. The issue I've dealt with was affirmed, that a product I use for mobility could not be "covered as a necessity" since the use is "off-label" ( that can be typical ) SO... I will have to hope that a prescribed combi-solution never mentioned in the past, will provide some level of freedom of mobility for necessary physical daily activity. ( I don't know when I will designate the next check-up since the regimine will require some time for adjustements of variety )

First time there very impressed with the entire office. Doctor has great patient skills, very glad I made the appointment.

The visit was rushed and overwhelming; responses of prescribed drugs and possible surgery were offered with the only test being an examination. I wanted to know what was going on in my body first so more tests, maybe a lab test, would have been helpful. The doctor talked more than he listened which would have been alright if we were aligned on what was in my best interest. I did not prepare for this type of interaction for my first visit. It was my expectation to show up, be evaluated, and learn more about what was going on inside my body (and if I should be screened further BEFORE being prescribed drugs). I left not knowing the severity of my condition. I take accountability for my part in this broken puzzle and I recognize that the office, doctor, and system have an even bigger part in this. My suggestions for all: write down your concerns in a calm setting in case your amygdala is hijacked or you’re in rush mode during the visit. Don’t offer or do more before gaining consent.
