List of Birjis Alam's Reviews
Telehealth websites are offering to fill prescriptions for you with an online questionnaire without seeing a doctor in person. Meanwhile this office wants to send you to a specialist with a referral instead of doing their job which is to practice medicine. So they want you to make a copay at their office and then you gotta make another copay at the specialist they refer you out to. Although the staff is great, the doctors are lazy and out of touch for thinking money grows on trees. I switched providers for this reason and don’t recommend this place.
Good morning, I went to fill out the papers for my appointment that I had and there was a part that I did not understand that was written in English and I asked for help and they told me that if I do not speak English how would I communicate with the doctor, they told me that in one a very racist and discriminatory way, because I don't understand something in English doesn't mean that I can't explain my situation to the doctor. I have suffered with severe Pain and multiple bowel obstruction and Dr Alam has listened to my complaints, and treats me with respect since 2010.Finally treatment and referrals are improving my general health.Highly recommended.
Won't go back to that office. Bad practice
Extremely rude customer service. Specially the financial manager, she hung up on my husband. He was inquiring about a bill and she said “for that amount I am not going to disturb the owner”. She does not care about the patient’s money. And the fact that she hung up on a patient says a lot about the business. We are not dealing anymore with this person because we do care about our money, even if it is a penny. We will not return to this office and do not recommend to anybody who cares about their money. I’m very sorry because Dr. Shaikh is the best but I cannot trust this office anymore.
To be a doctor means much more than to dispense pills or to patch up or repair torn flesh. It is needless to say that Rizwana Shaikh is an excellent primary care doctor I have ever come across. She never feels rushed and friendly/faithful.
Dr Alam and her staff are a pleasure. Thorough, friendly and - a big plus - they always remember my name & my husbands name. A nice change from other doctors where they never even looked up from their charts, let alone remember my name. That's why I am a patient for 12 years now. There is a bit of a wait sometimes, but most doctors are like that now. And the wait is worth it because she has never once made me feel rushed. Her staff is always on point with referrals, getting them to me quickly. I would highly recommend this office.
Dr Alam is patient, answers my many questions and has kept me at my optimal level of health.I was very ill when I first visited her office and now I can truly credit her for my improved health.
WORST DOCTOR EVER!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
