I was hospitalized for a pulmonary condition and I was visited by multiple doctors, including dr Echenique from infection diseases. He said that he did not believed , I was splitting blood because of an infection but probable had to do with my chronic condition that was being treated by the pulmonologist. However, despite of what he said,he put an order for the nurse to give me a strong antibiotics without my consent and my knowIedge, I have been very sick since then.

As a physician myself I was extremely disappointed by the care I received from this doctor as well as from the chairman of infectious diseases on a different occasion. I traveled a far distance and rescheduled my entire day to have an expensive appointment where he clearly did not listen to the history, did not order appropriate tests, and offered no treatment. That same day, I went to my own dermatologist and had all three properly done. I will never go back to that department again.

If ever a doctor met all the requirements for a total specialist, this doctor would do so. My visit with him produced no results except a statement that my problem did not fall within his specialty and a recommendation to go back to my primary care doctor.

He found the bug that nobody else could. I had an infection that was uniquely odd and he took care of it. Thank you Dr Echenique!!!!!
