If I could I would give this hospital a zero! I had a scheduled appointment for a procedure at a later time and they called to change the time to an earlier time at 5:30a which I thought was better. It wasn’t! The charge nurse told me that the machine would be here in 2hrs. Okay, Well 4 hrs later and I was still waiting. Then the charge nurse and Surgical Dept. Rep, informed me that it will not be here until 2p, ( what the Heck🤬!) Because someone’s inadequacy in the “Surgery Dept.” didn’t order the machine and claimed it was an oversight on their part. An OVERSIGHT🤬Yes it was!!! Smart People? Not… I definitely made it known that I was very unhappy. So for a procedure that would take an hour or less, I had to wait 4+ hours for the machine to be delivered from an outside company! Of course they apologized and moved me to another room but for me that didn’t make me feel any better. I felt like a hostage and very dissatisfied with Memorial Hospital Miramar! They should take the cost of their mistake for the team! After this ordeal, I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. It’s a “go at your own risk” type of thing as far as the functioning of this hospital’s Surgical Dept. is concerned. Yes people make mistakes and so do I. Some I’ve had to pay the consequences and lessons learned. I think the person(s) who was responsible for this inadequate and unfortunate mistake should be held accountable! I bet this isn’t the first time this person(s) or the “Surgical Dept. “ makes this so called oversight! Ridiculous! Oh it’s now 11a AND STILL WAITING!😱I felt like those old French fries that have been sitting under the heating lamp for hours😵💫😱🤯 and it was 3p and NO MACHINE! We Left wasn’t going to spend the night there! Just had to get it out of my system so that the rest of my day will be better!
They have awesome staff .The nurse name Michael he is really human and good person and they take care of you every moment. Thanks 🙏
My experience at this hospital was amazing. I’ve never experienced such hospitality like I did here. The doctors and nurses were phenomenal across all departments. I had surgery done here and was a bit concerned about being alone due to limited visitation thanks to covid. However, the nurses made sure I was comfortable and were available whenever I needed help. Hospitals can be Intimidating and scary but this hospital made my experience smooth and pleasant.
WARNING - DO NOT USE FOR PEDIATRIC CARE - RUN - DRIVE PASSWhile this hospital has a pediatric unit, they have an extremely reckless staff including doctors treating children. After calling multiple hospitals on a Friday night after my daughter put a foreign object in her ear, my husband spoke with a nurse and she confirmed that they would have no issue removing the object since it was "not an unusual case to handle". I drove over 40 minutes to get to the hospital. It was extremely slow so there was no wait time and the check-in process was fast. Waited a little over an hour for the "physician" to come check on us. First red flag, he walked in the area with a pair of tweezers. He explained that he was aware that my daughter put a popcorn kernel in her ear. We briefly discussed the issues and I explained that I did not want him digging in her ear unless he was certain that it could be removed. I inquired about the usage of a suction device, which they searched around the "area" for an option to no avail. Second red flag, after standing around for 2-3 minutes talking out loud to himself about locating an on-call ENT, they left the room. After a few minutes, I could overhear the conversation between the doctor and nurse. Third red flag, the "doctor" explains his "plan of action" and the nurse tells him "that sounds like it could work". He returns and explains he was unable to think of an ENT but believes he may be able to get "in there and get it out". Fourth red flag, he's holding a paperclip that he has bent to become a "tool". Yes, a PAPERCLIP. We are not in a 3rd world country nor do we use paperclips in our ears especially not a kid's ear that is already in pain. How could a licensed pediatrician or doctor believe that this is proper plan of action? Obviously I did not allow them to touch my daughter and explained my dissatisfaction with his plan of action, lack of proper tools, the lie told to us prior to our arrival as well as my shock that he would even suggest something so reckless. I was appalled and saddened to imagine that they have used this method on other kids, which probably caused them pain and permanent damage. I cannot imagine a hospital would subject their staff to practice in this reckless and dangerous manner. This is unacceptable and downright disgusting. We left without the "doctor" or nurse touching my daughter. Never touched the bed or any tools. I am waiting for the moment that we receive a bill so I can share my experience with the board of directors as well as our insurance company.
It was a nightmare I was crying , the doctor was extremely rude and she was giving me a nasty attitude the whole time , when my baby gets sick I always bring him to this hospital but not anymore , I even request changing her , but the man told me that she was the only one available 😭
My first time going to this hospital my experience there was not very nice. The OB on call was not gentle checking my pelvic she literally shoved her finger in me. She also seems flustered. The RN that came to an IV on me I told her to do my left hand because I’m right handed, her response was it’s which every hand have the veins I had to look at her like really. I don’t think I want to have my baby here because of how unpleasant the staff was!
Everyone is so nice here. They keep you informed continuously. They make you feel ease. Constantly sanitizing everything!! I hate that I have to be here but the experience has been comforting, especially the constant updates. Thank you Memorial/ Dr. Mendez and the hospital crew that has made a hard time easier.
My daughter had surgery this morning at Memorial Miramar. What an AMAZING experience. From Registration to Check in, we were met with caring professional staff. Her first RN who prepped her fir surgery was Linda. WOW, what a world class nurse. Gentle, kind, compassionate. The surgical team were informative, concise and wonderfully kind. Post surgery, her nurse was Diane! Another stellar RN with wonderful experience, who helped my daughter manage her pain and get her through the initial recovery. Kandyce, the RN Manager visited us several times during our stay. She was clearly proud of her team and her RNs clearly respected her and appreciate her. Thank You to the Chief Nursing Officer Albert, who could not have been more helpful and kind. It is clear he runs an experienced nursing team with patient care as their focus. THANK YOU everyone at Miramar, for making a stressful time so much more pleasant by providing the very best of care.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
