List of Richard Davis's Reviews
I had a broken nose. I was in the OR for 8 hours. After i was done i had NO , bruises and very MINIMAL swelling. The doctor did a great job and used cutting edge technology for my operation. This is the second nose surgery and compared to the first it was heaven and earth. Great Doctor. We bought him some cake , as we were so satisfied.
My 15 year old daughter had a horrible accident at age 2. A boy her age put his head down and ran straight into her face breaking her nose. We were advised to wait until she was at least 15 to correct the problem. Unfortunately, her nose grew terribly crocked from the break. We visited two doctors in the miami area both of whom advised to use Dr Davis because the surgery was extremely complicated. Of course we were extremely concerned for the surgery to be a success. The surgery took 8 hours. My daughter's nose was essentially reconstructed. That was three weeks ago. I can honestly say the results are nothing short of a miracle. First, my daughter can breath out of her nose now. Secondly, my daughter loves her new straight nose as much as my wife and I do. There are risks with surgery. With your child those risks weigh heavy. Anyone with a child who has been through a disfiguring accident should have Dr Davis on a very short list of surgeons to consider.
As for Dr. Davis, i do not recommend him. He makes a mistake on the primary rhinoplasty then tries to "fix it" with a revision rhinoplasty that involves using a graft (ear was used). The graft is smooth for a short time then it becomes uneven and bumpy and after time, start looking like an ugly scar or patch on the bridge of the nose. it looks awful. Since the patient has already had two surgeries by this time, the patient is then reluctant to have a third surgery even with another doctor after two bad experiences. Dr. Davis will make excuses and not own his mistakes. He will recommend something silly like the graft will lay flat if you put tape on the bridge of the nose for an extended time weeks after the second surgery which we tried to no avail. Yes, he spent alot of time with us for the first consultation, mostly rambling on and on, actually quite exhausting listening to his non stop talking but the outcome was poor and ive been sad for many years stemming from this entire situation. i feel i was misled by him.
He takes his time to sell himself. It has been 5 years from 2 surgeries with dr. D . He left me with crooked dented nose. Horrible doctor. Please don’t put yourself through my nightmare. I finally got brave and had revision with another doctor. And finally ready to move on .
This doctor ruined my nose, he claims, "my graft slid" well, I guess that means he didn't do it right. I'll never let him touch my face again. Please run from this guy.
I came to Dr. Richard Davis for a revision rhinoplasty after Dr. Dean Davis in Tampa, Fl butchered my nose cosmetically and structurally. Dr. Richard was thorough, honest, and realistic about expectations. He discussed the risks involved and issues that may come up. My consult was 3 hours long (and I had a second consult too) and my surgery was 7 hours. Dr. Richard cares about his work and gives his surgeries 100 percent, which is not how most surgeons operate. He will dedicate a whole day to one patient, while others do multiple patients in a day to increase their profits. Dr. Richard is the second best rhinoplasty surgeon in the country and his skillset and experience cannot be found elsewhere. If you are thinking about a primary or revision meet with him. Have your primary surgery with him, so you don't have to see him for the revision! I am 2 weeks post op and my results are better than I could have ever imagined. He has some negative reviews, but deals with the most difficult revisions in the world and some high expectations may not be possible to meet. I also found out many surgeons pay to keep negative reviews off sites like realself. Dr. Richard Davis does not! I had 4 consults with surgeons for my revision and 2 of them recommended seeing Dr. Richard Davis because he is the best. All 4 doctors would have been happy to do my revision, but 2 of them said openly they aren't as skilled as Dr. Richard Davis and recommended I see him to get the results I wanted. I am so grateful and thankful for their advice, because the online negative reviews were keeping me from seeing him. I wish someone had told me to see Dr. Richard for my primary. His skillset and experience is what you want in a surgeon! Side note- do NOT get Dr. Richard Davis (Pembrokes Pines, Fl) confused with Dr. Dean Davis (Tampa, Fl). See my review on Dr. Dean Davis- he destroyed my nose cosmetically and functionally. He also pays to keep negative reviews off realself, healthgrades, and who knows what other sites! I have tried multiple times to post on those with no luck. Thankfully Yelp did allow me to give an honest review!

Dr David completely ruined my face. My nose is now severely crooked, with extremely uneven nostrils and an exaggerated columella from a graft he placed there. He did tell me he *might* decide to add a graft, but he didn’t fully inform me on what that would mean. For the months before surgery he’d been telling me how I’d be able to move my nose like nothing had happened. The graft hurts my nose any time it is pressed on in any way, such as simply kissing my husband. It’s stiff and makes an obvious white line any time I smile. My nostrils came out uneven and he told me to “pull down on the higher one with a q-tip.” Of course that didn’t do anything. I believe he was setting the stage for me thinking that if it was uneven, it was because I didn’t do that right or enough post-op. How could pulling with a q-tip remotely affect the results of a surgery? He also removed fat from my chin. He did tell me it would leave a scar. However he didn’t tell me it would create this very unnatural & unflattering folding in my chin. Not only that, but it is uneven, giving me an uneven face shape and weird tight lines under my neck. He did the same thing he did with the nose, told me to massage it. So of course, when that didn’t do anything, it’s my fault, right? Not the botched surgery. I’ve lived with this for 8 years now. I hate my reflection in the mirror and am sad any time I see myself on photo or video. I would tell anyone to stay FAR AWAY from this doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
