List of Andrew M. Bernstein's Reviews
After my previous doctor chose to go to a concierge model, a friend recommended Dr Bernstein. I have found him to be very thorough, knowledgeable, and caring. He takes the time to listen, and never hurries you out the door. I've been very satisfied with his care.
Dr Bernstein was attentive and kind during my first visit, however, I was running 5 minutes late for my follow up visit so I called the office to let them know I would be at most 5 minutes late, and they told me Dr. Bernstein would not see me and I would have to reschedule. This was upsetting since I was on the way and had already paid a babysitter to watch my 2.5 month old. The office staff was kind and apologetic.I am a nurse so I understand the value of a physicians time, but having your patient reschedule because they might be 5 minutes late is a bit much.Dr. Bernstein seems like a great doctor but it was off-putting that he was so inflexible.
Worst doctor I’ve ever seen. Does nothing but refer you to other specialists in his network. During office visits he spends most of the time tapping on his laptop. I showed up to his office after falling and breaking my wrist. He said he couldn’t help me and recommended I see a specialist and handed me a business card from his handy card file of a specialist in his network and sent me on my way. I literally had a paint stir stick duct taped to my wrist and was in a tremendous amount of pain. Naturally I called and couldn’t get in to see that doctor for a week. I ended up having to go to the emergency room for treatment. Dr Berstein is D.O., this is supposed to be his specialty. I would never go to him again and would recommend to anyone to seek medical help elsewhere.
I am a new patient of Dr. Bernstein. I was transferring from a concierge doctor up north that I had been with for over 20 years when I changed my residence to full time in Naples. I fully expected that I would have a different experience with a non concierge doctor--expected less attention and less preventative care focus. I couldn't have been more surprised when I met and had my first appointment with Dr. Bernstein. This guy is laser focused on knowing everything about his patient's backgrounds. He had reviewed my records in detail and devoted a full half hour to my first appointment. He was incredibly organized and discussed the full gamut of state of the art thinking around all medical issues and proactive care relevant to my age group (63). If you are looking for a primary physician that is incredibly bright, feels like a concierge doctor in his approach, someone dedicated to your individual holistic health well being, and has a very strong network of NCH specialists that he would refer you to if you needed them-- this is your guy. He is a little quirky--don't be late for an appointment-- he comes in at the crack of dawn every day and reviews files for his patients who are coming in THE FOLLOWING WEEK. He reserves a full half hour for each of his patients (what primary care doctor does that these days?) and is serious about keeping a strict schedule-- which after waiting in doctors offices for years-- is quite a refreshing approach in my opinion.
Dr. Bernstein is professional, well-prepared, knowledgeable, intelligent, and patient-oriented. Without doubt, he is the best physician that I have ever seen. He not only values his time as a physician—he values mine. He is forthright and his directions/explanations are clear and complete. He is the best.
I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. I was five minutes late because I could not find a parking spot. I signed in and the receptionist told me I was late and had to reschedule. They forget all the times I sat and had to wait For him to call me in. I will find another doctor I didn’t think he was that good anyway and he is also losing my husband and my son and myself. So if it was worth the five minutes then good for him. Besides with him every thing is fun and games.
Being new to the area I took a chance and booked with Dr. Bernstein. Really glad I did. What a wonderful doctor. He was on time, super nice, and most important “ He listens to you”. Give him a shot. You won’t be disappointed.
Dr Bernstein actually cursed at me and told me to go f—- myself as I tried to explain his office stopped my medication. I tried to show him the email from my pharmacy and he became aggressive and combative. He should not be allowed to practice medicine.
Dr. Bernstein is professional, clear and communicative, well-prepared and knowledgeable. He is also something that many doctors are not—extremely punctual. He doesn’t read my chart as he walks into the room. He knows what’s in it from having analyzed the information the day before. As a patient of his, I fully trust him to make the right decisions and to include me in the discussion. He is wonderful.
Much confidence in this doctor. He follows the rules of being a doctor as well. I refer everyone I know to him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
