Arturo Balandra's Online Review Report Card

All I can say is this Dr saved my life. Many times I tried to explain away my urological issues but he kept me pointed in the right direction. He knows his stuff. After 5 years of monitoring me we finally discovered I had prostate cancer. I am so glad I didnt procrastinate and kept to his testing procedure. In the end I was wrong and he was right. This Dr has earned my utmost respect. He saved my life with his persistence and gentle guidance. He has a professional demeanor which you might misinterpret as being not caring. This could not be further from the truth. Thank you for saving my life Dr Belandra.

The staff is very poor at communicating. The Nurse StephanieStefani did not know how to get proper authorization from primary doctor nor Insurance. Location is 3rd floor I am a foot amputee and was made to go downstairs walk 300 feet to check in for procedure. Stood waiting in line 15 minutes to be told I was not on schedule. Was told to return upstairs to third floor only to be told by the nurse that she had still not received the authorization and asked if I had. I had to pay for a taxi to and fro with no procedure done nor informed it was canceled. Poor management for clients that are English speaking. It was very saddening to say the least.

Where to start? No diagnosis at all on the first visit basically might be something but has nothing to do with urologist might have to do with a pain management doctor? Gave a “antibiotic treatment” after a couple of days of taking pills was not feeling alright called in his office to find out if it could be pill and if in that case he could of change treatment to something else receptionist said I will receive a call back from the nurse which never did. Had a follow up appointment which I didn’t go to because I felt like there was no point after I had to stop the treatment because it wasn’t working out with me and never received a call back from his office now 15 days later after that follow up appointment receive a bill?? THIS IS A JOKE.

Easy experience. In and out quickly not sure what everyone else is having a problem with. I was recommended to him and have since recommended him.

Shouldn’t be a “doctor”....

Excellent doctor was referred by my my physician. Dr. Balandra is very personable. A great bed side manner and explains each medication and procedure thoroughly. Explains each blood test results thoroughly to you in laymen terms. Listens to all questions and answers them to your satisfaction.

Been going to Arturo Balandra M.D. for about two and a half years treats you with respect and has a great bed side manner. Easily answers questions regarding medications and new procedures regarding my condition. I selected him upon referral from my Primary Physician who indicated that he is up to date on all of new medical procedures. Very satisfied with him and highly recommend him as being a well versed practitioner.

Dr. Balandra was only focused on whether I have a primary physician I dont. He was not focused on my pain. When I went home I did a Google search and found out the risk of cancer is higher given my problem. He said that given my age under 70 I need to live with it. Ill find another doctor who is caring and interested in my problem.

Absolutely horrible experience with Balandra... rushed through everything didnt seem to be listen fully when explaining my symptoms. even tried to argue with me when I was trying to come up with possible explanations for my symptoms. Truly felt no kindess or compassion as a patient there. He talked and acted in such an unprofessional manner. I strongly urge you not to see this urologist.

Both Dr. Balandra and staff are very nice to work with.
