Boyd Vaziri's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Vaziri operated on my two eyes for cataracts four months ago with an Excellent outcome. He is extremely knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable going through this surgery. I was very nervous and he was patient and comforting and made me feel at ease that it would be a success. He has an excellent academic background and proved to be an excellent surgeon. I would recommend him highly!!!

Dr Vaziri has been our Dr for many years. A former Dr told me I needed cataract surgery and after a thorough exam, Dr Vaziri told me I didn't need the surgery. I have been to several Drs over the years and I think he is the best and my friends who go to him were very pleased with him.

The first time I saw Dr. Vaziri he listened to my description of my problem, made a diagnosis, and gave me a treatment plan that I followed. That simple. The chronic problem I had was dry eye syndrome. If you have ever had this diagnosis you understand how difficult it is for the comfort of your eyes. Great care, Happy patient.

I went in for a routine eye exam with Dr. Vaziri, and was met by a standoffish doctor who was seemingly only there to get rid of every patient as quickly as possible. My exam was extremely short and careless, which obviously can only lead to one thing: a wrong prescription. Like any other trusting patient, I had no idea that the prescription I received was inaccurate by any measure, and only realized once I went in for a checkup at a different eye doctor. This kind of treatment is absolutely egregious and not worth anyone's time or money. Terrible experience, never going again.

Uncaring and unprofessional

Several neighbors and colleagues of mine highly recommended Dr. Vaziri for my mother's cataract surgery. My mother was interested in laser cataract surgery with lens implants (so that she would no longer need glasses). We were told he is one of the first laser cataract surgeons in Charlotte. My mother's surgery was quick and she saw 20/20 on her follow up visit, with NO glasses! She was so happy she began to cry in his exam room. She can't wait to have her other eye done next!

I scheduled an elective lens replacement with this office, and carefully obtained cost estimates. As the billing rolled in afterwards, it became apparent that the end cost to me is approximately $2500 per eye higher than what this office provided me in terms of quotes. Aside from the fact that I feel completely mislead here and that this dollar amount would have been a decision-changing consideration for me, I cannot believe that this office has not encountered this before and done a better job

Dr. Vaziri answers questions politely and provides excellent service. He is direct and I appreciate the straight talk. Over the last 15 years, he has been unfailingly polite, informative, and the office runs pretty good on scheduling - unlike other offices where you come in and wait for hours to be seen. He has performed surgeries on my eyes successfully and his staff stress their availability if any issues arise - call them anytime. I highly recommend him. Talented professional.

I visit the office annually for eye exams, but my visit with Dr. Vaziri was to explore eyelid surgery. The associate, who I spoke with on the phone prior to scheduling, said the consultation was free or covered. Later, almost 1 year later, I received a bill and phone calls requesting payment. I explained what was promised initially and the associate offered to discuss it with Dr. Vaziri. A week later, I received another copy of the bill in the mail. I've paid the bill, but wanted to share story.
