List of David R. Axline's Reviews
I HAD A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT WITH DR AXLINE AT 9AM 16 NOV '21 AT THE NCH HEART INSTITUTE. I ARRIVED ON TIME AT 8:50, QUICKLY MET WITH THE NURSE AND WAS ESCORTED TO THE EXAM ROOM. AT 9:34 AM, AFTER SITTING ALONE FOR 30 MINUTES WAITING, I WENT TO THE CHECK OUT DESK, AND ASKED THE DESK PERSON TO CALL ME WHEN THE DR WAS READY TO SEE ME AND CHECKED OUT THROUGH THE CHECK OUT DESK. TWO WEEKS BEFORE I NEEDED A MEDICAL CLEARANCE TO UNDERGO A DENTAL PROCEDURE. AFTER A WEEK OF CALLING BY THE DENTAL OFFICE AND MYSELF, WE RECEIVED THE CLEARANCE ON THE MORNING OF, FOR A 9 O'CLOCK DENTAL SURGERY. I CHOSE DR AXLINE AS MY HEART DR BECAUSEI LIKED HIM, WHEN I MET HIM AS A PATIENT IN NCH. I EXPRESSED MY CONCERNS TO THE NCH LEADERSHIP (CEO) AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING IN THE PAST WEEK. NO CALLS, NO RETURNED E-MAIL; NOTHING. IS HIS CASE LOAD EXCESSIVE?
DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WELL------------PROBABLY VERY COMPETENT, BUT NEEDS TO WORK ON VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS. OFFICE MUST BE VERY BUSY, BECAUSE IT IS DIFFICULT TO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO CAN ANSWER QUESTIONS WITHOUT A LONGER DELAY THAN IS NECESSARY
Very aloof. Treated me like I was fabricating my symptoms.
good initial visit... scheduled appt a year from now gives me time to think about the questions I would have asked, but didn't.. at age 93, I do have cardio questions and will call to talk with his nurse, soon, to ask her advice about another appointment.
Been a patient of Dr Axline for three years for SVT. And now high blood pressure. Am very happy with him as he treats me as an intelligent senior woman who deserves to know the details of her condition.
We were fortunate to have been connected with Dr. Axline due to a pre-op abnormality. He presents himself very professionally, seems to listen well, synthesizes a patient's info/health history quickly and willingly answers probing questions from the patient. He offered good explanations for his testing recommendations. The follow-through of Dr. Axline and his nursing staff were very good. We felt very comfortable with him and highly recommend him as a cardiologist.
My husband has been seeing Dr. Axline for 4 and 1/2 years, and he is quite pleased with his visits. He takes his health insurance. We are so glad to have a cardiologist we can rely on in time of need. He is affiliated with NCH, our hospital.
Dr. Axline was referred to me by my neurologist. He was professional when I said "I hear you are the best" his comment just smiled. I was given a EKG by his nurse. He review it and lowered my medication and asked to call if any problems. He asked me to make another apt.I did not need to wait...everything at the front desk was fast and helpful. I have recommendedto two friends.
Why people leave stars without explanation is beyond me, it's not helpful. NCH first needed the records transferred over from Texas which we did. As soon as they got the records they hooked us up with Dr. Axline the next day which was great. Dr. Axline is not exactly beaming with personality but he was very effective in his questions. Doctors are in very short supply in Naples esp. Cardiologists. He gave us advise and checked her over thoroughly. Also, he always wears an epic bow tie.
This is an example of why you can't trust Yelp! Some disgruntled person with who knows what issues tries to take it out on an excellent doctor who has saved hundreds if not thousands of lives.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
