David White's Online Review Report Card

I am in a state of shock reading the reviews for Dr. White. Every time I have been in the hospital, or anyone in my family has, I have asked the nurses who is the best doctor in Naples. Invariably the answer has always been Dr. David C White because he is by far the most thorough. Unfortunately, the one impatient reviewer did not do his homework. If he had he would have found that thorough HIV testing can include an additional Western Blot Test to ascertain certainty of a questionable test result. Checking online, it is reported that HIV Testing can take up to 45 days for a patient to be given test results pending on the type and number of tests ordered. Personally I would far prefer thorough testing instead of a three day response any time. But then we are clearly all not the same. I must add that at one point in my life I developed Sepsis and had 5 doctors assigned to me. Dr. White was the only one who came to see me in the hospital every day for 10 days. I laughingly told him I knew he loved me but underneath, I really believed it then, and still do. P.S. I am left wondering why anyone who thought their doctor was unresponsive would stay with him/her. I sure would not do so but again, we are clearly all not the same.

I agree with Larry. We have been a part of dr. White's practice for many years and he and his nurse have been at times dismissive and unresponsive to our issues. Once, when questioning a problem, he basically said we should find another doctor. He mumbles his replies, refuses to look at patient while speaking and grumbles at having to repeat himself. His nurse has the same attitude. Perhaps he should close his practice if he is so unhappy. P.S. just heard nurse has left the practice, great news!

Dr. White is a very caring and thorough doctor. He has probably saved my husband's life twice.

Worst MD in Naples! Total attitude!!!! Waited over 2 weeks for HIV blood test results. Nurse would give me no info. Took 16 days then to get test results from Dr White, and was told twice by Dr White that if I couldn't be patient, I should fine another Dr. I took his advice!!! Found a great new doctor! Thank you Dr White! You left a lasting impression that I happily share with all my friends, every chance I get!!

He listens. He does not rush me out the door. Highly capable. Very caring attitude; encouraging.

He and staff clearly lack ability to pay attention to detail. The information shared with me on my file wasn't me. ( A clear violation of the HiPAA) I imagine they sent my personal info to someone else. We had to point it out to them. He seems to be an average doctor other than that.

Total disregard of records sent from previous Dr. Gave the impression that I was wasting his time after I waited over 1/2 hr. to see him . My experience was upsetting enough for me to leave.

I have never in my 56 years encountered such an inept doctor. Every test he ordered, he dismissed the results if it did not conform to his previously stated opinion! Can you say "God Complex"? Little justification for such arrogance! Doctor, you very simply are not that good, and are wrong far more often than you are right!
