F Hussey's Online Review Report Card

I was a patient of the somewhat grumpy Dr. Hussy for seven years. We had a great relationship. One day I walked in and they had changed office policies without any notice. I’ve never had this happen to me before but no you had to do a drug test before you saw the doctor. They never informed us of this as his longtime patients but I sure got yelled at when I protested. The test device fell apart in my mouth even though it had reacted the right way I was still asked to take another one. Actually, I was an asked I was yelled at across the waiting room that I wouldn’t see the doctor if I didn’t give them another test. I was so offended at being treated so rudely that I walked out . A couple weeks later I got a letter saying I was terminated from his practice. This is the only issue I have ever had with this doctor and I was shocked. And you’re right they don’t answer the phone they have hours that they post, but they don’t keep. Time for me to move on .

I think Dr Francis Desmond hussey completely screwed up my back he did a joint facet rhizotomy on me that I don't think even needed to be done. He has a used car salesman like attitude to try to get you to do a surgery. I'm in worse pain now 5 years after my surgery from this guy he is not a good doctor. In my opinion. He'd much rather pump you up with drugs so you're depending on him just like the crack dealer that knows you're riddled by pain. And his staff at the front desk is absolutely atrocious and unorganized. I would seriously consider any other pain management doctor in Naples besides this quack.

I tried to make an appointment after calling the doctor’s office. I spoke to an unpleasant lady who seemed reluctant to make the appointment.I was asked to make an unusual formal request by ‘fax’ to be contacted again. May be the fact that I was a Medicare/AARP insured patient didn’t help??? I decided to go else where in view of the circumstances. MG

Very disappointed. Seems more interested in the money and dragging things out rather than help me quickly. If the nerve block didn’t work on the left side, why have me come back and do the right side? Had an epidural on the right side. Why not do both sides at the same time? Because he gets more money doing it separately. And it’s always in the surgery center where I have to pay $150 copay + 20% coinsurance. At least an orthopedic I went to gave me shots on both sides at the same time for one simple $20 copay. Might have been temporary but it’s more than was accomplished with Hussey. Hussey will not do anything unless it’s in the surgery center. I’m going to bring this to a head with him.

Went to Dr. Hussey for lower back pain. He does it in steps. Nerve Block on right side, come back within 2 weeks. Any relieve? No? Let's try left side. Come back. I have has 2 nerve blocks with no relief. If it didn't work on one side, why do the other side? Just had a epidural on the right side. Come back in 2 weeks. I feel like I am being churned like in the finance industry. He won't do shots in the office. it's always in the surgery center where I have a $150 copay plus 20% co insurance. Why can't he do an epidural on both sides in the surgery center when I am there? Why do I have to make 2 visits? I'll tell you why. Money! I've been to orthopedics who for a $20 copay give me a cortisone shot (albeit for temporary relief) on both sides at the same time. None of this come back for the other side in 2 weeks nonsense. I've wasted time and money. I will tell him when I see him in 2 weeks!

Dr. Hussey is by far one of the best! He not only knows what he is doing, but he is very professional, knowledgeable and caring. His staff is wonderful. I highly recommend him!

If your looking for a Dr. and an office staff that doesn’t answer the phone, return your messages or spends 5 minutes reviewing your issues with you than this is the place for you. The office staff is rude, inept and clearly has not had any customer service training. Patients are seen as nothing more than an “insurance claim with an MRI” waiting in line for any type of pain relief. I would urge you to consider any office other than this one unless you are willing to put up with this nonsense. An example of medical care and services at its worst. Surprised no one in a leadership role at NASA has addressed this issue with Dr. Hussey. Apparently fee generation is the most important metric at this location.
