List of Jesse Haven's Reviews
Dr. Haven and Damia (his nurse) are compassionate, forward thinking, are reliable. My family and I couldn't be more pleased about the care we receive at NCH Concierge Medicine.
Jesse Haven has been my primary care physician for over 15 years. He and his partner, Robert Hanson, have provided better care than I could ever have imagined. Their staff is unmatched. When you need them, they are there 24/7. I've had emergencies, and they stuck with me until I was well again. Don't believe the one bad review. He's just wrong. Their practice is full with a waitlist. I've sent over 20 patients to them, and they're all very satisfied. You should be so lucky as to have them on your team as I am.
I’ve been with Dr Haven for almost a year and I feel lucky to be part of his practice. He is caring and compassionate and genuine. I have dealt with doctors in Naples for over 40 years with my parents With very bad experiences .... I just moved here a year ago from California.... it’s so wonderful to be able to see and talk with your doctor immediately. His staff is top notch and I’ve never been happier with my primary doctor. It’s a great feeling to have that piece of mind...
After being assured that his practice was open, I made a new patient meet-and-greet appointment for my husband with Dr. Haven. Typically that's where you interview the doctor. Two days later, we were told that the appointment was now "pending a phone call from Dr. Haven". He interviews you for your worthiness to take up his time. Despite my husband having no major medical issues the practice was suddenly on wait list. Concierge doctor? I think not. Search elsewhere.
Despite some poor reviews on several websites, two friends use Dr. Haven and like him. He is now setting up a concierge practice, and I called the phone number in his sales brochure to inquire about enrolling. As was complained about in several reviews of his prior practice, I got voicemail instead of a person. It has now been two full business days since I left the message, and my call has not been returned. He apparently does not understand the concept of concierge medicine and its promise of heightened responsiveness. I will be signing on with another concierge service.

My initial visit with Dr. Haven was short and to the point. He is not a very friendly person and seems awfully dry for someone in the business of helping people to feel better. After my first visit (which was just a regular annual physical), I was rescheduled to go and see him again in 30 days so that he could see how I was responding to the over-the-counter Zyrtec that he had recommended for my allergies. I got to the patient area and Dr. Haven walked into the room and immediately was displeased with the fact that I was unable to bring a copy of a certain piece of information he had requested. He made it very clear that he was "extremely frustrated" that I didn't bring it. I started to tell him of my recent health problem and asked for advice only to be told that he couldn't help me at all because he needed that one document. I asked again in other ways only to get the same response. I had to leave with no help at all. Waste of time and money and I will NEVER go back.
Dr Haven became frustrated with me because I am a seasonal resident and not all my records from up north made it to my chart. I feel that I try to cooperate with doctors but on my last visit he was snippy with me and aggressive and challenging. I came in with an acute problem and he took me to task for missing records. I felt humiliated, not helped and I guess I am looking for a kinder doctor again.
Dr Haven may be competent in physical medicine but fails miserably in dealing with the mental needs of the Patient. He severely lacks in sensitivity and compassion. In my opinion he has not grown as a Physician who must learn to deal with both sides. I have been a Patient of Dr.Haven for 10 years and in all that time never overacted in any derogatory way. Recently I had chest pain from Flagyl he prescribed and sought his advise only to be turned away because he was on his lunch break. Flagyl also produces mood swings and I had one that day.Standing in his office with Chest pain and being told the Doctor was on his lunch break and to go to the emergency room. All I wanted was to ask if I should continue the medicine but things got a little testy on my part I admit but I did appologize to his staff member for it. Dr Haven suddenly appeared, ushered me into a room and told me I was rude to his staff and he no longer wanted me as his Patient never once asking me how I was after 10 years?
Overall Haven is very nice. He is great with children and teenagers. He tries his best to treat you. My biggest problem is with his staff. They ve gotten better at answering the phone but not better at returning calls.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
