List of John Pennisi's Reviews
Immediately enters room with full knowledge of what your visit is about. jumps into the problem. before visit is over he has been told my many medications remain same but he verifies if I still understand how they work together. a body check frim ears, nose, throat. Chest . Legs get reviewed and you feel comfortable knowing no matter what your dealing with, Dr. has addressed all issues and make you actually feel relieved that you had the best.
Dr. Pennisi extended my life expectancy. During my annual physical he detected an irregular sound in my heart beat. I had no physical symptoms of having a heart issue. I had been told by my previous doctors my heart made irregular sounds, but it was dismissed as not being an issue. Dr. Pennisi recommended I have tests performed. Testing revealed I had a genetically defective aorta valve. I had severe regurgitation where my aorta valve was not closing properly so my heart was over working trying to pump the blood volume my body required. My overburdened heart would of failed prematurely. Thanks to Dr. Pennisi and the NCH Heart Center I now have a new aorta valve and thankful my heart is now healthy.
Best ever!
Dr. Pennisi is amazing. He is so very special in my book. I am a retired disabled Navy veteran and he always takes such great care of my needs. He is never in a hurry and is very detailed. He is a DO and that is another thing that I love about Dr. Pennisi. His staff are very friendly and easy to talk to, making appointments are easy also. Thanks for caring! Best to you all. JD, U.S. Navy HMC SEAL (retired).
Dr. Pennisi has been my primary physician for 6 years. He has been my best physician ever. He has a great bedside manner, listens to me carefully, answers all my questions, starts with natural solutions and does not over-prescribe medications. His office staff are extremely well organized and friendly. I had my husband switch from another provider and refer all of my friends.
Dr Pennisi has been an incredibly thorough physician. When a lot of drs gave up on my mother’s chronic nausea after 5 years he took the time to do some forensic medical work and cleared her of her nausea. It gave her - her quality of life back.
Dr. Pennisi was disrespectful and was more interested in keeping a schedule than listening to my concerns. It was more important to be on time than anything. When I asked him if he was going to listen to my heart he said it would cost me $100 because it wasn’t covered under my insurance on that visit. I started to ask another question and he said that he didn’t go $90,000 in debt to listen to this nonsense and left the room. I found another doctor!
He didn’t seem to care The meds I was were helping me he wanted to Put me on new meds Some Pharmaceutical Company must be Stuffing his pockets
He is usually very thorough and detailed. Almost always on time, too!
Dr pennisi is a very focused individual, who truly cares about his patients. I always wait until I have several appointments before I give a rating. He is always asking questions or advising me on what to do or not to do. I like that. He is up front about your health. The office personal could use a little training in customer service however. A couple of times, I left a detailed message and never received a call back. Last time I waited 2 weeks, after 2 phone mags. And finally went to the office to find out the results of an xray. The nurse, Janet, is absolutely wonderful. She has to be the most pleasant nurse I've ever met. If it wasn't for her and dr P, I would have changed medical facility.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
