List of John Szczesny's Reviews
I am posting this almost 3 years after seeing Dr. Szczesny. I was willing to wait to see him due to the fact that he saved my life. I went in for osteoarthritis in my knees. When he examined me, he informed me that my spleen was enlarged. I followed up with my primary, only to find out that I had kidney cancer. If Dr. Szczesny had not informed me of my spleen, the cancer probably would have spread.
Dr. Szczesny is a genuine doctor. Wish more Doctors were like him. His office staff is very nice, always so helpful and willing to give patients education and literature on their diagnosis. You will be warned that you can wait up to 2 hours or more to get back to see him, but it is well worth the wait. You will get a very thorough exam and the correct treatment for your diagnosis. His nurse practioner is like a living angel. And this doctor has the patience of a saint. Trust me, I've waited in that waiting room and seen some crazy people. I believe everyone is treated very fairly at this office.
Doctor is ok...but office staff and supporting medical staff are idiots... might want to double think going here. Staff never know whats going on... lose papers all the time... charge you incorrect amounts... and dont ever know what the doctors intentions are for future visits. Medical staff will lie to you if they dont know the answer to your question just so they dont have to ask or look stupid. Then when you go behind them and check, they lie to cover their butts. Like I said Dr S. is fine "IF" you can get in to see him, but the supporting staff is a joke. GL with this office.
Didn't know what to expect when I went to Dr. Szczesny. I was taken back when I was asked to take my clothes off (all except underware) by the RN. I told her I wasn't prepared for that. I do wish they would have told me that prior. When the doc came in I can say his personality was something of a wet mop. Didn't even crack a smile. However, his exam was very through and professional. I did get him to smile when he asked me for the 2nd or 3rd time if I had memory problems. I told him if I did I don't remember. I was already diagnoised with fibro. when I saw him but my primary wanted me to see him anyway. I'm hopeful between the two I will get the care I need and so far so good.
He has an excellent staffing, who are kind and caring. I would recommend him highly. He sees and cares for patients regardless of their economic or social status. He is an excellent diagnostician and spends good quality time in his examination and treatment. His plan of care is carefully crafted and explained in detail. There is always time for questions. Few other doctor's and the office staff work so well together. He cares deeply for his patient's conditions and prognosis. The bedside manner is very good. He's always look to improve the medical care
After being in severe pain for months, being to 8 different physicians, poked and proded with needles and countless bloodtests I finally found a caring doctor who takes time to thoroughly explain what the heck is wrong with me and he gave me a treatment plan that I agree with and can easily afford. I read the other reviews on here and I really don't see how someone could not get along with this office. I'm am so thankful for Dr. Szcesny.
The office staff is rude, the wait time is ungodly and the Doctor is nice, he seemed like he listened and I feel like my diagnosis can easily be controlled with this dr.
I will admit that the wait to see this doctor is a bit long but I was placed on a cancellation list and called after a few weeks to come in sooner. I don't know if he has had a recent change in office staff or if the people who rated him before where just having a bad day, but the staff was wonderful and very caring. I didnt have much of a wait at all once I was there and the waiting room was very pleasant. Once he came into the room he gave me ample attention and listened very closely to all my complaints. After one visit my symptoms have already improved greatly. That is more than I can say for what my primay doctor did.
Ive been going to Dr. Szcesny for years and I will say there is a very long wait. But he is a good listener and has always been very knowledgable and understanding to my current condition. I've also seen his Arnp who is much more punctual and also very kind. The front office could be a little more professional but overall I am in much better shape thanks to this Doctor. He has also been very understanding of my finnancial situation unlike any of my other doctors, I am able to make payments, and the prescriptions he provides me are inexpensive.
Do not see this person for Fibromyalgia.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
