An exceptional surgeon taking his time to thoroughly explain all aspects of my total knee replacement surgery. The robotics that assist the surgeon are state of the art. The staff handled all details of the pre-op preparation including working with ProScan to schedule my CT 640 scan. Dr. Dounchis was available at all times to address any of my questions regarding the surgery and recovery. Dr. Dounchis does not use staples or stitches to close the surface of the incision, allowing me to shower immediately after surgery. An exceptional surgeon in every regard.

Dr. Dounchis and his staff are outstanding. He takes time with his patients and genuinely cares about how you feel. Staff is kind and concerned and highly efficient. I would highly recommend Dr. Dounchis - he is the best by far!

I had a complete knee replacement on 3/6/23. I am 2 plus months out and still have pain. No contact from him or his staff. Total time spent with me including first appointment was less than 5 minutes. Not approachable, when calling office with an issue needed to “beg” for someone to return call which did not happen. Would never go back!!!!

Instead of having a knee replacement Dr. Dounchis thought I would be better of getting shots. I was skeptical but I am on my fourth or fifth shot. I am relatively pain free. My only concern is my knee will start aching if I try to walk too far. Doing everyday things, I don't feel any pain. The needle looks intimidating but it is very pain free. After the shot I do some leg lifts work the shot into the knee and I am good to go.

Dr .Dounchis has done replacement s on both of my hips and my right shoulder, and repaired both rotator cuffs with 100% satisfaction. He is by far the best orthopedic doctor in all of Southwest Florida. If your looking for excellence in orthopedic care, he should be your doctor of choice. Bob Burton

I had a robotic total knee replacement, went home the same day and was walking without support within a week , At 7 weeks I have 130 range of motion and am feeling great. Note that I am a very senior citizen. Pre op Nurse Karen was most helpful. The post operation treatments provided were excellent. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Thank you Dr. Dounchis for an excellent experience.

I tried calling this practice six times and never spoke to anyone. They have an inept system for handling incoming calls. An answering system is used and was having technical issues twice and offered to call back but only happened once. I can’t image needing help quickly! Don’t waste your time like I did.

Dr Dounchis helped me through a rotator cuff tear! I had good therapy and made great progress! He is kind and listens! I highly recommend Dr Dounchis!!!

I like the doctor but it's like pulling teeth to get through to make an appointment. I've left three messages so far. They did call me back after the second msg but it was at 6:30 pm (after hours) so I missed the call and was told to call back. A lot of good that did , was promted to leave another msg again.
