Kunal Suryawala's Online Review Report Card

I had a endoscopy/colonoscopy procedure in early July. I do not believe this surgeon is very good and six weeks later, he still has not informed me of the pathology results eventhough there were multiple polyps removed. I have left several messages with the staff and directly to the doctor using the patient portal. He has never responded. I think this is reprehensible!

Six weeks after a endoscopy/colonoscopy with removal of multiple polyps, I have yet to hear back from this doctor regarding the pathology results. No response after multiple calls and messages over the patient portal. This is unacceptable. Moreover, I seriously doubt his skills.

Dr. Suryawala was so kind and very detailed at the day of my visit. He took his time answering all my questions and explaining them to me, so I can understand. Wonderful doctor!! Truly recommend him.

One of the best! He has an excellent bedside manner. He is also very knowledgeable. Office staff was easy to work with and helpful.

Find another doctor....Never returns calls. I have called his office at least 6 times asking to speak with him. I have only spoken to his nurse who doesn't know how to answer my Questions.

Stay clear from this Doctor and their office. I was referred by the VA through Community Care for a procedure only to go back to my primary GI Doc. I called to set up the Esophageal Manometry date and they told me I would have to see the doctor before. I waited for the date and saw the doc and he told me about the procedure and how it was done. I told him i would call to set up the procedure after i spoke to my wife about it. I called the next week and they told me they don't do the procedure, that they talked to the doc and manger. I told them to read the doctors notes that was in their system, which i had a copy of and it stated that the doc was going to do the procedure and spoke about the pros and cons but was waiting on patient. They said yeah they saw it but the doc said he doesn't do it now. So after wasting my time and the VA money i have to find another doc that does it.

A positive experience with both procedures. Dr. Suryawala is a highly skilled Dr. with a wonderful personality. I highly recommend him!

Nice doctor and very polite, but, forget about the staff or follow-up from this office. Trying to receive results from tests is not possible here. Called a dozen times and left messages, finally, the nurse called back and gave some results but was unable to answer questions. Promised they would call back and never did. Serious implications. As a gastro doctor, he should know stress is never good for patients, so why leave your patients with horrible thoughts about their health? I am looking for another doctor. I will not tolerate this ignorance from any doctor's office.

Scheduled a colonoscopy and went through his required protocols. When I arrived for the the exam the lady at the check in indicated what the charges would be and they were four times what was originally estimated. She said they tried calling and left a message which was a lie - they never called or left a message. I went through with the procedure and afterwards doctor Kunal indicated he wanted to do it over again in a couple of months since his equipment failed to register the exam properly. Stay away from doctor Kunal and his unprofessional practice. "
