Laura Chang Kit's Online Review Report Card

Please run from this woman who thinks she is a physician. My mother is elderly and has a multitude of medical issues but it does not negate that she is still entitled to passionate care along with a treatment plan. Mom was hospitalized late May of 2023. Dr. Chang Kit happened to be the urologist on call at the hospital. She contacted me and advised my mother had a large kidney stone so she had to insert a Stent. She did this without any anesthesia and without informing me. Fast forward to Septemer. My mother has been hospitalized 2 additional times for UTIs and other issues. Both times she was hospitalized, I contacted Chang Kit's office to address the Stent - no response. The most recent nuclear test showed no indication of a kidney stone. Chang Kit appears to be the only one who saw this supposedly large stone. Several of mom's providers have indicated the Stent needs to be addressed. I have called the office the past 3 days and could only leave a message. No one returns my call. In the meantime, mom has a Stent that may be causing more harm than good. I want to switch to a different urologist but I was advised urologists like to "stick together" and they do now take over cases unless the doctor leaves. Unfortunately, as long as Chang Kit continues to fly under the radar, we are stuck. I rarely write negative reviews because I like to give the benefit despite my bad experience. But, in this case, I cannot let this one go if my feedback can help someone make a better choice for their health.

Up all night again due to a botched diagnosis’ and surgery. I’ve been in constant pain for almost two years now. Surgery went so bad she didn’t make an insurance claim. Was with me in the recovery room instead of the nurse because she was probably afraid the nurse would say something about the botched surgery. When I went to see her about the pain she claimed it came from elsewhere and called me a ball buster. Another routine surgery which was performed the same day and also didn’t go well because it led to another surgery. Was told this was rare. I think more incompetence. She arrived late for that surgery and probably rushed it so she could stay on schedule for her following surgeries. And the second surgery caused me so much pain because the catheter rested on the the point of the botched first surgery which led to excruciatingly severe pain for three days until the catheter was taken out. Who knows if that surgery will have any adverse consequences. Gave me a cream and called it a day for the first surgery Save yourself a lot of pain and misery and see anyone but her. This has been my worst medical experience. I wish she would have Stayed in Albany!!!!

Very rushed. Had 2 appointments and waited close to an hour for each. Once in the examining room the appointment was very rushed, and she almost ran out of the room.

Dr. Chang Kit performed a surgery on me today. Dr. Chang Kit determined I needed surgery after performing several tests. I feel she came up to an excellent diagnosis after these tests. This morning, she did the surgery. I have no pain, a little discomfort due to the catheter, which will be removed tomorrow. I can't thank Dr. Chang Kit enough. Joanne was very kind and professional at Dr's Chang's office.

STAY AWAY!!! Don't waste your time. We were referred to her last year. My mom has been in pain for a whole year and she doesn't want to dig deeper to see what could be wrong. She sent her to physical therapy and even the therapist was so concerned that she even reached out to her. She just keeps trying to put her off on other doctors so she doesn't have to step up and try to figure it out.She's Lazy or has no clue what she's doing and shouldn't be practicing Awful bedside manner Awful listener, doesn't even let you finish a sentence before she cuts you off. We waited 1 1/2 hours after our appt today to see her and she said she was at the end of her rope.......what rope she hasn't done anything or tried to help. Shes a complete 0 in all areas. If you are looking to try and get well she isn't the doctor to go to. How she can lay her head down at night with the suffering she's prolonging on people is unreal and very sad.

Dr. Chang- kit did not rush me and seemed very understanding.

Lately I had a pressure in the lower abdomen where the bladder is, and I was terrified of a cystoscopy, my friend said it was very painful. But Dr. Laura Chang Kit was absolutely gentle, explained the whole procedure and I almost didn't feel a thing. She is very knowledgeable, very pleasant and from now on she is my doctor, I will recommend her to all my friends!!!

Not only was Dr knowledgeable, gentle and efficient but the staff was AMAZING! I have previously stopped interacting with good physicians because of the inefficiency of the office staff and medical assistants. Never an issue here. I highly recommend this practice and this physician.

Excellent Doctor. Spends time and the most thorough urologist I’ve seen.

So far I have had only 1 appt which wasn’t very impressive! Very disorganized office and Dr Kit Chang asked me questions then before I could answer asked another? She spoke so fast I had no idea what the heck was going on. Hoping appt 2 goes better or I will be moving on to new Dr. what an odd experience!!
