Just wanted to say that my full right hip replacement from Dr Mead was a slam dunk I was off the walker in four days, the cane in two weeks and my pain level never rose above a 2, resulting in zero use of pain meds. I attribute this to an exceptional and gifted surgeon, a stellar team, the use of stem cells and following directions for a great rehab to insure best results. It might be stretching this a bit by saying my hip surgery was a wonderful experience but I will say it was most definitely a good experience with wonderful results. Exceeded expectations by a mile. This surgery performed by Dr Mead has not only given me my life back but it’s better than ever before. This has not only benefited myself but has made my wife so happy to have her husband now healthier, stronger and happier. What a game changer! Thank you Dr Mead and his exceptional staff! Ed Cuccio
Two years ago I saw a local orthopedic surgeon and was told I would need a knee replacement in the very near future. I was in quite a bit of pain but endured it. Finally I saw Dr. Meade. After he reviewed my x-ray he asked who told me I needed a knee replacement. I told him who I saw. He made an odd facial expression and said I definitely didn't need a replacement. He gave me a steroid injection and did say there was some fluid and arthritis. I was fine for six weeks. I'm seeing him today to see if there is anything that can be done to relieve my pain. I like Dr. Meade very much.
I couldn’t have believed how easy knee replacement surgery would be. Post op I was in minimal pain. The first twenty four hours I had a lot to learn which was facilitated by a wonderful hospital staff. I was walking with a walker in six or so hours after surgery with tightness in my knee but no pain. At home care was exceptional with a nurse and a physical therapist who taught me the exercises I would need to do daily. I was driving two weeks post surgery. I believe this rapid progress was due to an excellent surgeon, Dr. Mead, stem cell therapy and wonderfully competent at home care professionals.
Had both knees replaced by Dr. Mead 6 and 7 years ago. At 82 years of age still playing golf 3 to 4 days a week and have no pain or problems. Check up was great and everything was fine. I highly recommend his procedures and follow-up.
Been a patient of Dr Meade now for 3 years using the Clarix-Flo product. I’ve gone from having continuous knee pain to being almost pain free, less than a handful of days a year with minor pain. Would highly recommend it as an initial alternative to knee replacement which would have been my only other option.
Entire office staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, overall great experience. Dr Meade is an excellent surgeon and very compassionate. Surgery was very smooth and uneventful. Highly recommend using stem cell therapy as part of the procedure. After 6 weeks post surgery have great flexibility of my knee, after talking to others who opted to not use stem cell I am way ahead of schedule and nearly back to normal.
The preparation for surgery was clearly explained and no details were omitted. The over night stay in the hospital was pleasant and the food tasty. Post-surgery was surprisingly easy and nearly pain free, nothing that a little Tylenol didn’t fix. I was glad I invested in the stem cells, and I attribute my easy recovery to them. I walk so much better and even danced with my wife on Valentine’s Day! The follow up office visits were done kindly and with much consideration. I’ll readily have surgery on my other knee, if it is ever needed.
Dr Mead performed a procedure to clean up scar tissue from an old shoulder injury I suffered playing football in high school, and he did a hip replacement for me about 6 years ago. I am now 76. The outcome of both procedures could not have been better. The recovery time for my hip replacement was unbelievably short, I was walking, albeit slowly, in the hospital hallway the day after the surgery. I was playing tennis within 3 months. His staff is terrific and he follows up regularly to be sure I have no problems, and I have had none. I have had a dozen surgeries for various sports injuries and I consider Dr. Mead the best surgeon I have been fortunate to have found.
Dr Mead is very knowledgeable, he listens and offers great advice. We have avoided surgery with treatments. I highly recommend Dr. Mead. And his staff is great.
Dr. Mead is very knowledgeable and put me at ease before my knee replacement. I am so happy I finally had the procedure done because my daily life has changed for the better. He’s a wonderful Doctor and his Assistant Mike and the entire administrative staff is the best! I highly recommend Dr. Leon Mead and his office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
