I think Dr Laufe is a superior pulmonologist, I just cannot get hold of him because of his ignorant, abrasive, condescending rude staff. I fired Dr. Laufe because of his rude nurse and non cooperating staff. I needed several urgent requests sent to Dr Laufe, and never receive a reply. I even told them I had Covid, and no one returned my call. They never answer the phone, always send to voice mail with promise to call in 24 hours, which they never do, in spite of request for urgent care. Dr Laufe is excellent. His staff/nurse suck and I'm finding a new pulmonologist.

After seeing Dr Laufe for almost two years, my asthma is soo improved, my pulmonologist in Ohio is even impressed with my progress. Dr Laufe truly improved my quality of life!!

I don't feel that I was listened to, and able to discuss the ramifications of going on the 3 drug program, that is highly used in the medical field, for bronchiectasis and MAC disease. I heard him simply order me to go on it, without discussing and hearing my side of the decision making. I also didn't like the idea of having to call the office and leave a message. Very seldom does any human answer the phone or initiate a call back quickly, if you have a serious problem. Doesn't work for me.

Dr Laufe and staff are very professional and helpful. I lost the use of my 13 year old CPAP machine which at 83 years old, I need desperately for a good night's sleep. I was referred to Dr Laufe's office 5 days later and, in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic, found the test labs to be closed. Dr Laufe contacted local people he dealt with for CPAP supplies, his assistant tracked down my old sleep study test results from 2007 in Connecticut and by the next day, I had a new "latest and greatest" machine. I slept 11 uninterupted hours the first night and similarly since then. My heartfelt thanks to Dr Laufe and staff for going above and beyond in providing what I needed ASAP.

I agree with another review. His medical assistant is beyond rude. So if you feel like being pushed around, made to feel like you are stupid, and her making medical decisions that are not for her to make whatsoever, walk right in. Otherwise pass on a very good doctor who surprisingly has not gotten rid of her.
