This lady is a quack!!!

I had not been feeling like my usual self for more than a year. I wasn't looking forward to events and outings like I use to. I didn't let it hold me down but I did it because I knew it was expected of me, I did lot's of research into a psychiatrist here in Naples, Fl.. Never saw a psychiatrist but thought that may be the answer. When I read Dr. Korn's background, education and reviews, I thought that she would be the one to help me. I met with Dr. Korn last year. She charged me $800 for an hour and a half consultation. When I made the appointment, she told me that the charge would be $400. She only takes cash or check (no credit cards) and no insurance.. Her office has a very cold feeling to it. There is no receptionist so I sat in an empty room waiting for Dr. Korn. There was a dish of salt water taffy on a table. I thought this very strange. I called Dr. Korn after my visit and left her a message on her voice mail. I wanted to ask questions about the medicine she prescribed for me (for only 20 days) when she told me during my visit “that it could take 4-6 weeks to show improvement”. I asked Dr. Korn to please explain to me what she means when she said “I had faulty thinking”. She said “that she does not do therapy over the phone”, these questions are usually answered at your follow up visit. (Next visit would be $250). I said I just I did not understand. Her response to me was “ of course you don't, you did not go to medical school.” Dr. Korn said I was rude, fresh and narcissistic. I had her on the speaker, I had a witness and taped the conversation. I told her that when I'm feeling better I would do something about the unprofessional, insensitive manner in which she spoke to me. I went to see Dr. Korn because I had some anxiety and mild depression issues. This is not the way a doctor should treat a patient who made an appointment to get help. I hope that my feedback is seen by potential patients, as well as Medical Board of professionals. Thank you.

Absolutely horrible experience

I have been seeing Dr. Korn for three or four years now. Dr. Korn does not just "keep you coming." She listens, makes suggestions, diagnosis and prescribes medication if needed. She is so blooming smart and I am not over stating. Dr. Korn is the only MD I see who is interested in all my medical issues not only the onews under her purview. She reviews all my meds and lets me know if there may be adverse reactions to what she prescribes as well as any and all possibilities of conflict with all my meds. Dr. Korn is a no nonsense woman who gives you a straight answer like it or not. I have so much respect for her gifts. It is important to me that she is very rooted in spirituality. Yes, I could go on and on singing her praises. Suffice it to say I love and admire her. The skills she has to zero in on just what is going on in your life. If you expect to be challenged to get out of your own way and to grow to your full potential: to recognize the power within you to control your own life: to encourage and challenge you and to give it to you straight on, you will not be disappointed with Dr. Korn

Dr. Korn's intuitive understanding of the human condition is truly impressive. Despite her brilliance and outstanding academic credentials, she clearly "gets" people, in all their varieties and complexities, so that psychological problems are handled delicately with both compassion and insight, leading to genuine improvement in the condition requiruing treatment.

Dr. Korn is the best! My family and I recommend her very highly. She has helped us through some very difficult times.

Amazing doctor at diagnosis and treatment. I have seen several psychiatrists the past 35 years and she "nails it." I feel so fortunate to have found a good mental health doctor in Southwest Florida. You feel good about yourself when you leave her office and hopeful. Spend the extra money and go to Dr. Korn. You will save time and money in the long run. Dr Korn is one of the kindest doctor's I've ever known. Very kind knowledgeable and intelligent. So worth the Uber to get to and from my appointments to see her.
