Very nice and friendly staff, quick and clean service.
Went there because I got a very bad stomach ache from an antibiotic I had just started taking for a cough. They did some testing and said I had a UTI. I expressed my reluctance to take an antibiotic because I always have a hard time with them. I expressed this repeatedly but they said I needed it for the UTI. They gave me some meds for my stomach and an antibiotic shot for the UTI. They gave me a prescription for an antibiotic for the UTI. They gave me instructions to see my GP and I made an appointment. When I saw my GP he said I never had a UTI. He said the first tests they did indicated I might hv a UTI But the later results indicated I did not. No one called to tell me that so I took a week of antibiotic I did not need. The antibiotics made me so sick that it took me 5 hours every morning to get over the nausea. Obviously they should have let me know I did not have a UTI and did not need to take the antibiotics.
Much faster than before if you haven't been here lately don't avoid it because of a previous issue they really take care of an amazing amount of people every day I don't know how they can do this it's like free hamburger night every day here they have the patience of a Saint
The surgery went well the after care was very scary. The nursing care was nonexistent. I was placed in a dark room w/o a call button. WTH. Very sa
Took my husband to the ER yesterday and was a little weary given the fact that they had 2 1/2 stars but I have to say that they deserve the 5 stars that I gave them.He was treated quickly and with professionalism. From us entering the ER to leaving the staff was great making us feel comfortable and keeping us informed every step of the way. They are grossly underrated. Thanks for making a scary experience better, hopefully we won't need to go to an er again but if so I would only go there
Just got home after waiting seven hours in the small waiting room. I was never seen in that time, and neither was a man having chest pains, nor the high priority cardiac patient who recently went into cardiac arrest two times. She had been waiting even longer! Many other patients came and went (and yes I realize some may have been sicker), but many others were not as sick as we were. This is one of the most mismanaged ERs I have ever witnessed. I understand it is somewhat of a holiday, etc., but this was absurd. If you are sick and need care - go somewhere else!! BTW - never once were the chairs wiped down or was any surface cleaned in the seven hours I was there. Kind of gross for an ER!
Here for knee surgery on 11/1/22 and an overnight at NCH with lots of help and with Dr. Mead, my surgeon. Here once before for the same on 10/31/22, but other knee. Great hospital despite what you may here. From Admissions to Pre Op to my room with the changing staff on their 12 hour shifts; all the names you see here in Unit 5 South/Room 541were extremely helpful, kind and very professional and personable. The staff with names posted on the board in the pictures were great. Taken care of with meds, few times knee exercising in the bed and on the floor with a walker and overall other responsibilities and requests. Also the room has a great TV with cable stations and lots of movies on every genre. Two nurses who spent the most time with me from 7pm -7am and were also great in all the ways I mentioned above. WIDLINE and SUSAN. Always on top of things, very caring people, a pleasure to have met. And ANANDA who we talked endlessly about our fave food....Indian Food. He was great and nice to keep him laughing. We're foodie friends. When better we're going to one of our fave restaurants. Some other names briefly I caught on my way to the room were CATHY and the others where they hold you just before moving you to the room, Dr. BRIAN PULFORD, (Internal Medicine) who stopped by earlier yesterday to check up on me and this morning at 7am. Michael Garcia from Dr. Mead's office and Dr. Mead stopped by this morning to check with me and explain things about the surgery and the two gentlemen at the front desk at a admissions on the 1st floor who were vey funny for those first five minutes. And ARMIDA, nurse for today 7am-3pm. And GRIFFIN, physical therapist who got me early this morning with feet and leg exercises and around the hallway with a walker! Can you see why Dr. Mead wants you overnight? Tons of care and a great start to healing. This takes 8-12 months before I'm the bionic man! Last time took 6 months. Normal. I'm not crazy about hospital food for many years even though this was better than most other places. So I sucked it up for the dinner the few hours after surgery BUT getting released on 11/2 around 2-3pm. So THIS time, having my wife bring me a fave dish from a restaurant I like. Can't wait. Hope you have the same experience. And again, my thanks to you all for a helpful and pleasant stay. Great meeting you!!!
I don't understand how a hospital in the United States doesn't have enough beds for emergency patients. Going onto four hours in the waiting area. Unbelievable, wish I could rate this at 0 stars.
We came in with an emergency for our daughter who had a bobby-pin stuck in her foot at the beach. The front staff and nurses in the back took really good care of her. We got all the proper treatment and were taken care of in a decent amount of time. I don’t regret coming to this ER. They did an amazing job.
We sat in the waiting room with my 89 year old uncle that was suffering with pneumonia and congestive heart failure. They inserted an IV soon after arriving, did a chest X-ray and didn’t follow up for about 6 hours!! This is during off season!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
