List of Nch Healthcare System's Reviews
Extraordinary Patient experience in the ER with a serious head trauma. I am so impressed with the NCH team … the most professional caring healthcare team I was introduced to a top doctor in his field in the country Dr. Mazen Abuawad who performed a very successful procedure the following day. So grateful and proud of our NCH TEAM.
As an RN health care compliance expert and patient advocate I am appalled at the antipatient rights behaviors of this organization.Patients have federally protected rights to participate in their plan of care and to give consent considering all accurate information. This organization violates these patient rights.Patients also have the right to request the cost of services. This facility gives the cost but then bills the patient for 500% of that stated cost. WOW Five Hundred PerCent That is a huge discrepancyThe integrity factor of this organization is zero. The nurses are greatTwo years later this facility is still violating federal cost transparency laws fails to have a mandated policy on formal grievances against another federal law and VIOLATED PATIENT RIGHTS high level Condition of Participation standard. Mr. Hans thinks he is special because he lives in Naples made the correct donations and got himself on to a state board and thinks that will protect him from allegations of patient rights violation. Patient advocates disagree.
I was treated for severe gallbladder pain and being a visitor from Buffalo N . Y. I wasn’t sure how good the care would be.Well I can honestly say it was outstanding From the front desk to the security and medical staff I couldn’t have been more pleased. In and out in three hours and free from pain with a treatment plan for possible future episodes.
I had a stress test done yesterday by the “nuclear resolution” team. They all were extremely friendly from the greeting to the end of the process. They were all very professional and worked as a real team. Before retirement one of my abilities was to train groups of people through team building processes. These folks had it together and were one of the best teams I had ever experienced. I actually enjoyed the experience and the manner in which they took care of me.
Nurses were so nice. 🕵🏽♂️
First I must digress and be forthright in submitting a true and unbiased review. I was a nurse in the OR during 19791993 at NCH North Coller charge nurse in Endoscopy and 45 years OR with 52 years nursing in total.I was admitted 3 times in 2 months for diverticulitis and subsequent sigmoid bowel resection.I received kindcompassionate attentive care from all the nurses and Hospitalist MD’s. The hospital has top notch housekeeping I was blessed to have a skilled surgeon the scary part for mebeing away from the area for 20 years. Travel nurse for 20 yearsExcept for a couple nurses who were very experienced the rest were inexperienced and therefore unskilled in IV’s assessments etc. not their fault as it takes years to be an accomplished nurse. With the advent of COVID19 many senior nurses retired and as per the norm most RN’s will not share their knowledge So that being said I literally started my own IV explained how to remove a Foley catheter painlessly and insert… I had 3 due to urinary retention for the lay person.. couldn’t pee I needed “me” as a patient advocate To be in the hospital totally alone post anesthesia and on pain meds is SCARRY.So hospitals are just hospitals it’s the smart nurses Doctors XRay tech’s Anesthesiologist nurse anesthetist hospitalist lab technician phlebotomist excellent RTs IVpick line nurses polite receptionist who make a painful traumatic experience less stressful. They truly did their best but for God’s sake get those new nurses some pearl’s of wisdom and share your knowledge. It’s OK TO NOT KNOW TODAY but NOT tomorrow❗️PS ADMIT TO ER HURRY PUT A MASK ON BUT GIVE EVERYONE THE SAME INK PEN OR IPAD😳
If you are coming here to work they have a strict mask mandate 247 while on the clock and you will have to be Covid vaccinated. No exceptions no testing alternatives no natural antibodies accepted.
I came here with extreme pain in my left arm via the ER. It is very cold here as I wait . Asking for additional blanket? I wait then I call no one comes. Workers walking by constantly. No help just I will see if somebody can come. Not Good
My poor mother had to come to this HOLE for spinal surgery last week. As she lay there helpless for hours unable to get necessary attention from much of the staff she could overhear them chatting and laughing. She had no buzzer or way to ask them to come help. She finally pulled herself up in a state of BRUTAL agony and walked out of her room and found a half dozen nurses laughing and chatting like they were getting paid to socialize. Only when she demanded to be discharged did she get any care at all. Read the other reviews about the incompetent staff if you’re doubting as it is a common theme. What a disgrace
Following a car accident my family members were brought to your ER for further treatment. The care given in the ER was excellent. I want to recognize the day charge nurse that went above and beyond for my family. My concern though is when my family members were admitted I made numerous attempts via phone call to try to get approval for 1 visitor to see them. Each time I was told no or that I would get a call back. I left a message with administration and received a call back from a patient relations personal that stated the Director for that floor would contact me regarding visitation but unfortunately I received no phone calls. I spoke to the RN that was caring for one of my family members and she stated her Director stated no to visitors. I was pleading to allow 1 visitor yesterday because this particular family member of mine was going for surgery. I am a healthcare worker whom has been on the front lines during this pandemic and I absolutely understand the no visitation rules in place to protect the patients and public. Being a healthcare worker I am also a patient advocate and have made exceptions with proper approval to allow visitors at my hospital when a patient truly needed it. I believe we should treat every patient as if they were our own family member. I do that for every patient of mine. In this case a patient in your hospital needed an exception. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with the hospital CNO or CEO please.SincerelyA patient family member

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
