Awful experience. Although multiple people recommended this doctor, the office is a complete mess. My husband spent more than a month waiting for a prescription, that never arrived. We tried multiple ways to call and even go in person to the office to try and get this prescription. The follow up appointment came and he could never have the treatment he originally prescribed, so we decided not to even bother with the follow up appointment.Would not recommend, and found another doctor who is able to properly take care of patients.
I highly recommend Dr Rivera. I had a bladder sling procedure back in 2009 by a different urologist. In 2021 the sling was protruding into my vaginal lining. The original doctor said “oh well. Here’s some estrogen crème to use to thicken your lining.” I tried his suggestion for over a year with no success. I lost hope of ever feeling better. I was referred to Dr Rivera. He told me that he could help me and I was so happy. He performed a procedure and cut the piece of the sling the was exposed out. I am feeling better and back to normal!! I can’t thank you enough Dr Rivera!!! You’re awesome!!!!
Certainly seems to me that Dr. Rivera only cares about the money that you may spend and not what's actually wrong with you. He exuded a genuine disinterest in me as patient. In addition, neither him nor his team felt compelled to call and discuss scan results or what's next for treatment.Couldn't change Urologists fast enough.
had a horrible experience, my 98 yr old mother with chronic back pain had to wait an hour in a room in pain The SNF did not take her catheter out and she had it in for a month Dr. Rivera did not even test for a UTI, an assistant took out the catheter, turned out mom had a UTI and it debilitated her. this place felt like nothing more than a money machine, not a good impression for a first time patient.
I have been a patient with Dr Rivera for over 8 years, the search for a well qualified doctor was extensive and to this day I will always respect his decisions for my care, he has always been compassionate, knowledgeable and the best in his field of medicine.

I feel very strongly that the Naples office of Advanced Urology need some serious assistance with compassion, scheduling and customer service. I went all the way to the Bonita surgical center with my husband, a thirty to forty minute drive, on December 23rd, only to arrive and be told that the insurance company had yet to approve his procedure. The receptionist asked me to wait as she was sure that the office was on top of it. We had to wait in the car as the office was very cold and there weren’t enough chairs. We waited over an hour with no response about the approval. The receptionist advised that the procedure still hadn’t been approved so we came home. I received a call when I arrived home saying that I had canceled the procedure and did I wish to re-schedule? I was furious as I had not canceled - we left since we were told the insurance had not been approved. I had no alternative but to reschedule as the stimulator my husband had was temporary and it had now to be implanted.The surgery was scheduled for today, December 30th.The surgery center texted yesterday that we were to come at 7:15 am. The doctor’s office called mid- afternoon to say the procedure was once again canceled as the insurance still hadn’t been approved.I called the insurance company myself and they advised that they were waiting for an explanation from Dr Rivera’s office as to why they canceled the procedure on the 23rd. I was appalled to learn that the initial procedure was approved on the 23rd but no one called the surgical center to advise them or us! The insurance company gave me a number for Advanced Urology to call to rectify the situation and re-schedule for the third time what should have been done two weeks ago.I called the office today to speak to the office manager Nancy Denis but was refused. Then asked to speak to the scheduling department to given them the number but was refused by Zac who then asked me to explain the dilemma - which I did since I now had no choice. I gave him the number for United Healthcare and asked that someone confirm asap - he just said thanks for the number and hung up.I have never experienced such an inept group of people in my life.I don’t care how many accolades Dr Rivera has received - his reputation is being destroyed by the incompetence of his staff.
Really like Dr. Rivera. OFFICE WAITING AREA IS PACKED AND I FELT UNSAFE IN THIS AGE OF COVID. I CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT AND LEFT. I WILL WAIT UNTIL TO SEE THE DOCTOR UNTIL I AM VACCINATED, BUT THERE ARE THOSE THAT CANNOT. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS.
Falta de profesionalismoHice la cita 2 semanas antes ..2 dias antes me mandaron un mensaje de texto para confirmar asi q confirme mi cita y al llegar a la oficina me dijeron simplemente NO TE PUEDO ATENDER porque tu cita fue cancelada y no tenemos tu nunero de telefono para avisarte ....osea tiene mi numero de telefono para confirmar pero NO para avisar q cancelo mi cita (GRAN MENTIRA) me dice le ofresco otra para mañana ...perdi mi dia de trabajo por nada
