List of Scott Wiesen's Reviews
The staff seemed friendly enough and the wait wasn't long. The doctor was extremely rude and arrogant. He would not let me speak to explain my issues. He kept cutting me off and just talked nonstop. He kept saying I needed a colonoscopy before he even reviewed my records or let me explain to him what was going on. When I pressed the issue and tried to get a word in on my symptoms, he rolled his chair uncomfortably close to me and in my face. In a low tone, he was "telling" me what I was going to do. It was very unsettling and creepy. I've worked in the medical field for over 40 years, and this was not professional or appropriate behavior. I couldn't get out of the exam room fast enough. It was a horrible experience.
Dr wiesen is a top notch guy! Very honest and listened to me. He found an ulcer and for the first time in feeling better then I have in years. He gave me respect that I haven’t had from other naples doctors.
I met doctor Wiesen for the first time A couple weeks ago. I’ve been to two other gastroenterologist. I’ve never had such a warmth of humanity and understanding as a patient then I did in Dr. Wiesens office. For the first time I wasn’t scared of my doctor and gave him my trust. I hate procedures but I let him do it anyway and thank God I did because he found two giant polyps and my father died of colon cancer.

BEWARE !!!! His office gave me wrong information, writing on my instruction sheet, that beer was ok to take as a liquid before a colonoscopy. As a result, I was denied the procedure after taking the awful Suprep Bowel/Clenpla prep and not eating for two days prior to the scheduled procedure !!!!
Dr. Wiesen listens to his patients concerns and addresses their needs. Never rushed. Very thorough.

Dr. Wiesen has been treating me for many years. He is efficient, caring and competent. The staff is equally helpful and responsive. He has saved many lives and is very humble,
When I arrived at the office they turned me away because I did not have a referral from the primary care that was named on my insurance card. I did have a referral from a hospital but they would not accept that. Needless to say this is not the way to treat a patient especially a veteran of war.
Great doctor, terrific staff! I was very apprehensive about the procedure but he and his staff assured me I’d be fine. They were right!! Had the best sleep I’d had in years and when I woke up I had no idea it was completed. He took care of some potentially dangerous polyps and I was on my way. Can’t thank them enough!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
