List of Suyien Zhaz Leitner's Reviews
Just had first appointment. Other offices closed so they are overwhelmed- I did nave to wait 75 minutes. She was way behind. Other than that, she spent a long time with me asking background questions, and was truly there to help me. She obtained reports then & there that I did not bring & was determined to find out the cause of my heart inflammation, and seemed determined to find out the cause. I had no complaints other than the long wait but they were forgiven as she said only about 3/4 Rheumatologists remaining in the region- even now getting patients from Miami! I will review again after my follow up.
Dr. Zhaz did not listen to what symptoms I am experiencing and totally dismissed the labs that were already completed by my cardiologist. She did not even look in my mouth when I told her about the ulcers. She had a predetermined notion that all of my symptoms even with labs, that it was all due to depression. I have pain every single day and positive labs. I don’t think that depression can cause labs to say what they say. I am now seeing a different rheumatologist that is helping me and actually listening to the patient. I would avoid and not waste your time.
For the first time in several years I found a Dr. who actually wants to help me find what’s wrong! I was previously diagnosed with a disease I don’t have it one of the first things she told me after reviewing many of my labs was..”no this doesn’t seem like lupus at all” and I was a wreck for so long thinking I had lupus. She is determined to solve “me” and already made progress after 1 visit and 1 lab appt. I’m excited to follow up!
Dr Zhaz is very thorough, knowledgeable and caring
Dr. Leon has always treated me with the utmost respect. She is genuinely interested in how I am feeling and how I manage from day to day. She is one of the better rheumatologists I have seen throughout the years with my disease.
Called to get an appointment and was told that the referral given to me by my primary care doctor was inappropriate. I explained that I have an established relationship with a rheumatologist up north and would like to get established with one here but the office staff didn't care. Never have I been so disappointed with a healthcare professional in my life.
Outstanding care. Truly interested in her patients, taking the time to learn the symptoms, ordering requisite tests, following up. One of the best that NCH has on staff. Highly recommend her and her excellent, helpful staff.
I was extremely disappointed in my experience with Dr Zhaz. She showed little interest in my symptoms and ignored test results in order to fit her predetermined opinions. Trying to get an appointment with her was extremely difficult as her office policies are inefficient. After waiting months to be seen she then took two weeks to contact me about results that had been available the day my blood was taken. I had to continually go out of my own way to get an appointment and then to get my results. I will be going to a different doctor, one that actually cares what the blood work says and doesn’t just dismiss concerning results on a whim.
I was supposed to see Dr. Zhaz. The office gave me all the blood work I needed to do back in January and I have yet to get an appointment. I was hoping to get in a couple times before I move, but it's now the end of April and I haven't heard anything. Don't even attempted to call because no one will answer or return your calls. Save your time and frustration and go somewhere else.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
