List of Thomas Magardino's Reviews
When I saw Dr. Magardino, I expressed my concerns about having chronic sinusitis. He completely glossed over my concerns, looked up my nose for a few quick seconds, skipping right to "you have a deviated septum and need balloon sinuplasty." Desperate to breathe, I went through with the surgery. The experience after surgery was one itself, as I was immediately sent on my way as soon as I became conscious. Not so much as a "How are you feeling?" just "okay you're good time to go!" before my vision was even 100% back. After several months, my breathing problems became just as bad as before the surgery. As many have described, he had little interest in my concerns before and after, with a hotshot attitude mentioning his new Tesla every visit. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that him rushing to push me into surgery (and others) paid for his new toy. Starting with antibiotics and/or steroids, taking a deeper look with a CT scan would have revealed my chronic condition that I am now fixing. If the hotshot attitude wasn't bad enough, one post-checkup visit he was downright rude and arrogant. Find somewhere else that might have a doctor who isn't after a money-grab.
Dr Magardino is one of the most caring ENTs that I've been associated with. He quickly got a biopsy done, PET Scan, diagnosis and on to an Oncologist. What we spent months trying to figure out, he took a couple of weeks.
Probably the most caring doc I’ve ever been to see. Was very genuine and explained information in an understandable way.
I have been seeing Dr Margardino for about 4 years. I find him to be very thorough, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. All my appointments have been excellent and the charges for his service In line with any other office. He ordered tests that were appropriate for me and he did a partial thyroidectomy in April 2023. All of my encounters with him have been favorable. His office staff has also been very pleasant and accommodating. my granddaughter was visiting on vacation and developed an ear problem. They got her in right away. Highly recommend Dr Margardino and his staff.
Horrible at giving results and keeping patients up to date on what is going on and what their treatment should be. The entire office is inept. It has taken a month and I still have not received my results from a biopsy I had done. I called again yesterday and YES, the girl in the office said they had the results and that she would relay a message that I called for them. To say I am furious is an understatement.
I saw this doctor twice and it was a referral from another doctor. Both times that I saw him I felt like I was annoying him when I was trying to describe what I was experiencing. I felt that he had little interest in what I was saying. I have three different lumps in my nose one by my eye one inside my nose and one on the middle. They called the dorsal part of my nose. I have cancer, so these were very concerning to me. I spoke to my oncologist up in Moffitt and she suggested I have a CAT scan done of my sinuses and forehead area. I received a report from my oncologist at Moffitt the radiologist that did the CT scan and then I received Dr. Magardino’s report from his nurse on the phone. The report from his nurse was all clear!!!! Nothing there! Is very different from what my oncologist and the radiologist found. Thank God they did not find any cancer, but they found a turbinate, a cyst and three other issues within my nose. Doesn’t sound so clear to me… how about you? I wouldn’t go to this man again if his medical treatment was free. My oncologist was very upset when she heard what I was told from his office. Complete opposite reports kind of scary.
I had a hearing problem..Dr Magardino and staff were very professional and ethical in restoring my hearing. HIGHLY recommend
Insurance scammer! I went to see Mr. Magardino in early December. He came into the room, looked at the one sentence the receptionist had written down, and told me without even looking at me yet that he knew what was wrong. When I started explaining what was actually going on with me (because the receptionist had written down the wrong information), he started to yell at me. I tried to explain further, to which he just yelled louder. Then, to prove to me that I was wrong, he said he would look down my nose. He couldn’t get the otoscope attachment in more than 1/4 of the way, so I told him it was painful, so he rolled his eyes, left the room, and brought back an endoscope. I told him that my nose was swollen shut and that he wouldn’t be able to get it in due to the swelling, and I told him I didn’t want it done. He looked at me and said, "I’m the doctor; I went to school for this, not you." Well, this next news is shocking, I know. He couldn’t get that in either, and it was very painful!

He continued to yell at me about how I should just breathe through my mouth since I can’t breathe through my nose and that he’s not going to fix my nose because it’s not a problem. Mind you, my nose is swollen shut, therefore I can’t breathe through it, and many other doctors have said that an ENT would be able to fix it. I have been diagnosed multiple times for the same thing, and he refused to look at previous medical notes. The appointment was for 3–4 minutes maximum. I went up to the front to pay in tears. The receptionist said she charged my insurance, but I still owed $300+ for the appointment. I then spoke to the office manager, and she said she would call me back and that I wouldn’t have to pay until the issue was resolved. I never received a call back. But I did call my insurance, and shockingly, they never received a bill from this office. They informed me that this was normal for doctors who don’t want the insurance companies to come after them for falsifying charges, not providing proper care, etc. My insurance company gave me a case number, and they’re contacting their fraud department. A few weeks passed, and a charge for the amount they said I still owed showed up on my card. If getting the worst care possible from a chauvinistic waste of time scammer is your thing, this is the place for you! If you want to get charged for a procedure you didn’t agree to or receive, this is the place for you! If you enjoy being yelled at, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! If you want decent, above-board care, go anywhere but here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
