Had 2 procedures by him for a colonoscopy and an upper GI. He was abrasive and unpleasant with zero bedside manner. Felt i was being talked down to. Communication skills ranked at zero

Worst experience I've ever had with a medical professional. I was submitted to repeated and unnecessary tests, and eventually required surgery. He laughed and joked with other professionals while I was going through agony. greatintroduced himself, or followed up with me.

He caused non-surgery related injuries during a procedure and claimed to have no knowledge of it happening to cover for him and everyone in that surgery room. We were given little to no follow-up at the center. I reported him to my insurance because he was so unbothered by what happened. We went into the surgery center with to one health problem and left with two and had to go to the ER later. The lying combined with what he did/allowed to happen is inexcusable and shocking. Sloppy practice, scary and infuriating experience. Dr. William Provance is a nice guy, but an incredibly hazardous and non-transparent doctor. Not the guy you want your loved ones passing out around.

I find him busy but to the point and have no problem working with him accept to find he is a busy person. I see how he can be abrasive but have not found that to be a problem.

I recently went to Dr. Provance and he quickly identified issues with my Gallbladder. Because of the Coronavirus the hospitals were reluctant to do surgery and wanted to postpone the surgery. Dr. Provance advocated for the surgery as it was not elective surgery it was surgery that needed to be done because of the pain I had associated with the Gallbladder. I can't thank Dr. Provance enough as he followed up every day, visited be in the hospital every day and made sure I was getting the care I needed. Very sharp and caring person. Highly recommended.

Dr Provance is a GI specialist you want on your side. I went to see him for an issue with Barretts esophagus. He familiarized himself with my case, and then asked me questions that were to the point and thorough. He performed his examination on me and then afterwards sat down with me to discuss his findings/diagnosis for the reason I went to him for care. He also let me ask ALL the questions I had for him. Dr Provance was VERY knowledgeable about Barretts esophagus and other GI conditions. Even more impressive, Dr Provance was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the medications/treatments for my condition. He was aware of the studies performed on the efficacy and morbidity/mortality of the current medications. I work in a hospital lab and it is not always common to find a DR with good bedside manner. But for me, Dr Provance was polite, calm, and easy to talk to. I left feeling like I am under the care of a capable specialist, and honestly, isn’t that what any of us want from healthcare?

Dr. Provance is a wonderful, yet tough Doctor that takes YOUR health seriously - IF YOU DO!! I take mine seriously and I am very fortunate to say that Dr. Provance is my Gastroenterologist and I look forward to working with him for many years to come. Thank you Dr. Provance!
