Mark Benton's Online Review Report Card

Very thorough.

I have seen Dr. Benton for a few years now. He is always very professional, engaging personally and has always met my medical needs. I highly recommend.

We feel Dr. Benton does not provide quality healthcare. My husband and I were both patients of Dr. Benton. Our health declined under his care. We could not get referrals when we asked for them. I could not get the medications I asked for. Dr. Benton is a protocol doctor. He doesn't bother to get to know his patients and their needs or histories. He just follows the standard Baptist Heathcare protocols and uses personalized care as a last resort. Dr. Benton is very nice and I am certain Dr. Benton is very capable for visitors who need a walk in clinic for sunburn, bug bites, ear infections and simple immediate care but if you are looking for a long term primary care physician who will know you, your history and what works for you then I would surely recommend you look outside of Navarre if you need to stay in the Baptist Healthcare System or use another of our local healthcare organizations.

DR. Benton, is a great physician. He listens to our concerns, gives us what we need not what we want. My spouse and I are both drive to see him from FWB to see him; I would not have it any other way.

Dr. Benton is genuinely concerned about my health. However, he is often at least 45 minutes late to my appointment time. And when he does come in, he is unfortunately only available for about maybe five minutes. I do not think this is actually his fault . . . I think he is being over-booked. He has been great about sending me to specialists to address my many health issues, though. I have BC/BS Federal insurance coverage. They only charge me $25 per visit. Great experience. Doctor was very helpful, he pointed out exactly where my pain was. Checking in was easy and quick for new patients. I didn’t have insurance, it was affordable self pay and the doctor guided me through Insurance options to further help my situation. Thanks!

I chose Dr. Benton from his prior experience at the Naval Air Station. I am a retired Air Force aviator and feel that he will be understanding of my health needs that may arise attributed to military aviation service. I also chose him as my primary care provider because he is located at a walk in clinic which is open until 7:00 pm in case I need to be seen as a walk in patient. My first visit was exceptional. Dr. Benton did a hands on thorough examination checking all the basics including my heart, lungs, abdomen, eyes, ears, throat, etc and listened patiently to any medical conditions that I shared then suggested a course of treatment. Then a few days later I received a personal hand written card thanking me for choosing Dr. Benton as my provider and welcoming me to the medical care network. I have no complaints whatsoever and was very pleased that he performed a thorough check up, something that most other providers I have seen since I retired fail to do. I highly recommend Dr. Mark Benton to anyone searching for a good doctor.

I paid $130 for a visit where Dr Benton just authorized tests. Did not give me my B12 shots and denied me my ulcer meds. Made me go to a specialist. Who put me on the ulcer meds? A specialist. Dr Benton had also denied me info about My degeneration. Told me I’m getting old. I’ve got severe arthritis and he DIDNT offer me any advice.

This was my second visit to see Dr. Benton. The care I received was just as consistent as my first visit. I don't base my review on cost. If I can't afford to see a doctor after insurance I choose a different doctor that I can afford, not rate the price of the care as an overall rating of the doctor. Doctor Benton was very thorough during my exams and pays attention when I share concerns with him. The only observation I wish to share is that you may have to wait awhile after your scheduled appointment to see the doctor because he may fall behind his schedule while ensuring that all of the patients scheduled before you have enough time to have each of their needs met. I am completely satisfied with the care I have received from Dr. Benton and I recommend him to anyone else needing a local doctor. He accepts most insurances, he is taking new patients, and he has a walk in clinic from 7 am to 7 pm. He also has a very polite attentive staff that put me at ease both times that I interacted
