Dr Velez is a very good doctor. He takes the time to sit and talk with you as a patient and a person. I have never waited more than 10 min for my appointment. The office always gets back to me in a timely manner. I would recommend him highly.

He may be a good doctor, but he does not seem to realize the importance of critical treatment that is needed. I have the tip of my little finger ripped off and surgery is required ASAP. The surgeon .s ready, the hospital is ready but Dr Velez can't find % minutes to sign A paper to get insurance authorization for the procedure . He also withholds authorization for prescription refills, sometimes for several days The office, itself,is also lacking.a profess

He is very special with his patients, takes time and becomes to be the family doctor we were looking for.

starting going to Dr Velez in 1997 and in the past 5 yrs the office has been going downhill. They keep changing receptionists and the last one they hire does not even speak Spanish and a huge percentage of clientele are Spanish speakers. I think all this has to do with management. They do not even follow up anymore and if you call and leave a message 3 or 4 days will go by before they return your call. Current receptionist is very rude and unpleasant.

After 15years seeing Dr.Velez...nothing has changed. He runs his office if you were in little San Juan! Get a clue! Patients are here for care, not to sit waiting for you on an average of 3 hours total. People come in "paeando" seeming to sit and talk inconsequential with him. It's like a geriatric parade. Appointments are impossible. You need to schedule your sickness with this guy. Get ready to visit out care; I've had to do that so often!
