List of David A. Lam's Reviews
Been going to Dr Lam for a couple years now and I couldn't be more satisfied with Dr. Lam and his entire staff. I have yet to wait more than five minutes for Dr. Lam to see me.And it is always with a warm smile and a sincere effort to go 110% on his exam. It's not often one looks forward to a doctor visit but this group is an exception. I used to reside across the street but now I am an hour away and gladly drive the distance twice a year to get the professional treatment this office staff has to offer.
He missed the melanoma on my knee and said it was a blood vessel. Thank goodness I have a doctor in another state who did a biopsy and found it. But by that time it was so deep I had to have lymph nodes checked and surgery by a melanoma surgeon.
1st time with Dr Lam. Very good examine to begin with. Had some pre-cancerous spots “frozen” that day. Came back. Had cancerous liaison removed. Dr. Lam and staff were very professional. Dr Lam took the time to explain the procedure, answer any questions and my procedure was deemed successful. Thank you and your team for your work and your professionalism.
I have been going to Dr Lam for a few years. He found cancer in different areas of my body including two Mohs surgery on my face. He is very professional & experienced. The scar on my first surgery is not noticable at all. I had my 2nd face surgery 4 days ago. I can already tell it will not be noticeable as he chose to cut on a normal line. Go to him and you will not regret your decision. I highly recommend this doctor.
Very pleased with the helpful car I get having a chronic condition..none better...
I have acne that is getting worse. My age is 77 and needed help as OTC meds have not helped. Dr. Lam prescribed cream a year ago and they did nothing but make my skin peel. Saw Dr Lam again a month ago as the acne was worse. He prescribed the exact same cream as last year, obviously did not look at my record. When I came home w/ the rx, called his office to tell them this cream has not worked, and he prescribed it again. They called me back, saying he advised me to buy an over the counter acne med. That's why I went to HIM! He is no help at all; will never go to this doctor again!
Have been seeing Dr Lam for the last 5 yrs. He has performed Mohs surgery on me many times. He is very caring
Dr. Lam is very kind and very knowledgeable. I am so thankful I found him.
Extremely disappointed with a surgical procedure performed by Dr. David Lam to remove a small basal cell carcinoma between my temple and forehead. The cancer, the size of a nickel, required an extensive flap of skin that ended up with an overall incision of over 3 inches in length!Today I had a follow up on an unrelated biopsy follow up. I took this time to bring up my displeasure with the results of the procedure. At first he defended that it had only been about six weeks since the surgery and that it would look better in six to 12 months. I then stated that the scar, which is a vertical 3 inches on my face/forehead appeared predominate on my face. I am not sure the doctor knew the definition of predominant, but told me, no, it wasn’t predominant. Amazing lack of empathy on his behalf that I finally ended with stating that my opinion was it was very predominant. I told him had I know this was the outcome I would have considered other options. He then told me the other three options he could have performed: radiation, scrap method, and a cream that had a 30% chance of curing the condition. It should be noted that at no time prior to the procedure were ANY of these options given. When I brought up to him that he would likely be concerned as well if he had a 3 inch scar on his face, he said it would depend on the diagnosis, that he had performed 20,000 of these procedures.Empathy is not the doctor’s strong suit. Since they offer extensive cosmetic options there as well, I would keep this review in mind before seeking his help.
I was supposed to have a surgery with Dr. Lam- he was very kind and knowledgeable but when it came down to the surgery he seemed as he didn’t know what he was doing. As they cut me open he asked his PA what he should do and claimed he didn’t bring enough tools with him to proceed. He then stitched up my arm and asked me if we can redo the surgery in a couple weeks. When it was time for the next surgery he didn’t show up although his PA did, she was quite rude and forgot to take out my stitches and I had to remind her to do so. I won’t be returning since they left me a nasty scar for no reason. I also found another dermatologist which was able to do all of these things in one day and actually showed up.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
