Love Dr. Lura and his efficient staff! They are so prompt, always on time! Dr. Is compassionate and spends time with you. It took me forever to find Dr. Lura. I hope they will continue accepting my Insurance (BayCare Plus) 2023 and beyond.

Gets to know his patients and takes time with them. I enjoyed having him as my doctor

Went to this gp for a few years he is average. But the office staff leave a lot to be desired. they do not return messages, bad habit of going to answering machine all the time has little interest about patient. Definately over charge for office visits and have all types of excuses about not returning calls. Do not recommend

My first visit with Dr. Lura had to be cut short because of another appointment I had, but the time I spent with him was great ! He seems like a very caring, compassionate and has a great bedside manner. I am very glad to have switched pcps.

I had been a patient of Dr. Lura for 18 years. In February 2021 when it was time to schedule my annual bloodwork I was told that he would no longer accept my medical insurance (Aetna) and that I needed to find a new doctor. No warning, no letter just wham leaving me high and dry with no PCP (primary care physician) and on a search to find a new doctor. After calling around for a new PCP the earliest I could find is late May. Now here I am writing this review March 28, 2021 with no PCP, 2 months away from a new patient visit, and for my first time ever experiencing symptoms that need to be addressed and no doctor to help me through my medical condition that I am dealing with. I can understand perhaps it was a business decision to no longer accept Aetna but there is no excuse to not give your patients enough advanced warning in order to find new care. Through this experience it has made me feel that the Dr. that I once new who had a care for his patients has become disconnected from what is really important.

Awesome! He actually sits and listens. I like to use alternative medical often and he works with me. He and his nurse Natalie will check out my alternative Rx suggestions so I don't have to endure the nasty side effects of a traditional drug. He readily gave me several referrals to find the core problem when I hobbled into his office on a walker with severe pain. It took two different kinds of specialists to get to the source of my pain. Then he did followups. Will call me back every time when I want to confer with him, even after hours or on weekends. Dr. Lura is a rare find! I am so grateful to have found him! He has a great staff, too. I've never had to sit and wait to see him. Natalie takes care of me as soon as I get there. He follows within minutes of her leaving.

Dr. Lura has been my doctor for many years. He listens and is interested in your well being and not just another number.

When I came to Dr. Lura, it was after experiencing excruciating pain for 20 months. I hobbled into his office using my walker and he said, “This is not quality of life and we’re going to find the cause of your pain and change that.” He listened to me while actually looking at me, not busy plunking on his computer, but at me and listening to me. He asked me relevant questions. When I left he handed four referrals which his office called so the four referred doctors could set up appointments by calling me. Easy! I found by the second referral I didn’t have sciatica, nor was my pain in my head due to the death of my daughter, as I had been told, but two badly eroded hip joints due to osteoarthritis. After two hip replacements, I am Pain-Free!!! He even had PT, OT come to my home. OMG! I have the greatest respect for Dr. Lura! He gave me back my life. My grouchy old husband loves him, too!

Rude, Nasty, Mean and has a holier than thou complex

Worst ever, He went from nice to rude within 3 visits seeing my husband, Do not go to him, Even told my husband he was going to Die which he wasn't he was just going through Radiation at the time we picked him as a family Doctor, save yourself the headache and find someone that will treat you like a human being. I wish I could give zero Stars, and as others have stated if you don't like the truth don't go see him, that's not the Problem his Rudeness is the Problem, He thinks he's God. He needs to UPDATE HIS ADDRESS TOO, we went to the old address and because we were 6 mins late to the new address he wouldn't see my Husband Who does that when they haven't even updated their ADDRESS.
