List of Christopher Mai's Reviews
Been there 3 times, 1st time was terrible, I think Dr Mai was having a bad day, hey it happens. Today, 3rd visit Dee basically called me a liar, 3 times. I was told by Dr Mai on my 2nd visit my kidneys were fine so I don't even know why I was going back. But today I was there to pick up blood orders, Dee said my May appt wasn't in computer.Asked me 3 times when it was I told her each time I would go home and look it up or she could just make another appt whatever worked best for her, she wouldn't accept that got very iffy, I said "I'll tell you what, forget it" and walked out!! If I ever need a kidney Dr again I'll find another one!! They had a new receptionist...she is very nice!!
Dr. Mai is simply the BEST!
Worst receptionist ever especially the lady named Dee or Denise. She is a pathological liar, you wouldn’t want her to handle your medical records and your medical records are not safe with her. Doctor Mai is very knowledgeable and nice Doctor but I don’t recommend anyone to go to his clinic because it is a toxic place with rude people like Dee who has no regard for patient. I think it’s safe to say that she’s racist based on how she treats certain people who are different than her kind. Maybe and hopefully she’ll change when she sees this review. Until Doctor Mai gets rid of her, this clinic will continue to be toxic and unfriendly.
Dr Mai has great bedside manners, explains conditions with great details and has a great sense of humor. Dee and Hope (The office staff) are very professional, helpful and compassionate. I am so glad I switched from another uncaring nephrologist to Dr Mai
Amazing Dr & Staff. He knows what he's talking about for sure. I would never go to anyone else. He's cared for my mother-in-law for many years before her passing a year ago & if it wasn't for him she would of left us way sooner. Thank you for keeping her around for us longer than we expected. Now I am a patient of his & I wouldn't want anyone else to care for me. I've read some of the other reviews & they are insane. I've never had any issues with the office.
Just had a first visit with Dr Mai and he was wonderful, very informative and took all the time needed to explain everything. Made me feel very comfortable.
Outstanding Physician very carrying and will answer your questions.
He is a wonderful doctor the staff they greet you when you come in and you don't even feel like you're at a doctor's office they laugh and joke around with you and you feel so good Dr Mia is a wonderful wonderful doctor we have her ups and downs with my blood pressure we laugh about it every time it's on the low side now I'm planning on keeping him around for a long time and his staff I just love him to death
I just love him he is a very good kidney doctor he's got a lot of patience and he likes to spend time with his patients and explain things
My wife originally went to Dr Mai for help with chronically high b/p. Our last visit was on 8/18/20. At that visit lab results from 8/3 were in his possession. Her creatinine was shown to be rising above normal and her kidney filtration rate was shown to be dropping below normal. At that visit he added Celbrex and spironolactone to her regimen, both of which we discovered later were contraindicated given her health situation. When we were at the Mayo clinic on 9/1/20 for preoperative exams her creatinine was 2.21! and her filtration rate was 22! His medication had put her into acute kidney failure. She had to be hospitalized overnight and treated. Surgery scheduled for 8/4 was cancelled. We thank God that this was discovered in the nick of time. The Mayo directed her to d/c the Celebrex and spironolactone immediately. Her kidney functions rapidly improved.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
