I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Robbins for a urological issue, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional care I received. From the moment I walked into the clinic, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere, which immediately put me at ease. Dr. Robbins is not only highly knowledgeable and skilled in his field, but he also possesses a remarkable ability to communicate complex medical information in a way that is easily understandable. He took the time to listen attentively to my concerns, asking thoughtful questions to gain a comprehensive understanding of my condition. What truly impressed me about Dr. Robbins was his genuine compassion and empathy. He made me feel comfortable discussing sensitive topics, and I never felt rushed during any of my appointments. He patiently addressed all my questions and concerns, ensuring that I felt fully informed and involved in my treatment plan. Throughout my treatment journey, Dr. Robbins demonstrated a high level of professionalism and expertise. He explained each step of the process thoroughly, ensuring that I felt confident and comfortable with the recommended procedures. His attention to detail and precision during the procedures were truly remarkable, leaving me with minimal discomfort and excellent results. The entire staff at Aventura Hospital was also exceptional. The nurses and administrative team were friendly, efficient, and always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate my needs. The Hospital itself was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, further enhancing the overall experience. Thanks to Dr. Robbins expertise and dedication, my issue has significantly improved. I am incredibly grateful for his exceptional care and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a urologist. In conclusion, Dr. Robbins is an outstanding urologist who combines his extensive knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and genuine compassion to provide top-notch care. I am truly fortunate to have found such a skilled and caring physician, and I cannot thank him enough for the positive impact he has had on my health.
Awful practice......recommended by my family doctor and I was embarrassed to tell him the unprofessional manner in which the staff works. Both Doctors ........ son in law and old man are very impolite. Do not use them at all. Run fast to another doctor like I did.
I had a procedure done with Dr.Robbins and it was fantastic. We discussed the different alternatives and he was able to advise the best strategy.I had been in three different urologist who didn’t inspire confidence..The service provided by his staff and the outpatient surgery center was outstanding. If you have and issue with and enlarge prostate this is the best doctor in South Florida.
Green light surgery, two days recovery no pain no bleeding a new man thanks Dr Robbins
This gentleman is a blessing. He has a excellent bedside manner something you don't see in young doctors these days His staff are magnificent, friendly and efficient. Don't fret if the office is crowded The Staff and doctors waste no time in treating everyone quickly and efficiently. Also the nurse practitioner Nicole is very knowledgeable He's been my Dr and surgeon since 2018 and has never let me down Best urologist in the state of Florida. If you're a veteran and tired of trying to get an appointment at VA... Go to Dr Robbins you won't waste your time and be there all day
Dr. Robbins was my third urologist over the course of many years of unresolved prostate issues, and I am delighted to say he resolved them. He was one of my wife’s doctor. Both she and my primary doctor described him as handsome, and as almost an afterthought, each stated he was an excellent doctor. I made an appointment, and after assuming the position, dropping my pants, hearing the terrifying snap of his rubber glove, and a high-ho silver, away, Doc Handsome made his presence known to me. “You have a very large prostate. No lumps,” Dr. Robbins said. Dr. Robbins went on to discuss the pros and cons of various procedures, all of which involved sticking something inside of me to reduce the size of my prostate. Before we could make a final decision, he needed to have a looksee to make sure I was a good candidate for the various procedures. Wait! Did I say procedures? Let’s call them what they are—surgeries. Dr. Robbins went on to discuss the pros and cons of various procedures, all of which involved sticking something inside of me to reduce the size of my prostate. Before we could make a final decision, he needed to have a looksee to make sure I was a good candidate for the various procedures. Wait! Did I say procedures? Let's call them what they are--surgeries. When an anesthesiologist knocks you out in a hospital, a surgeon sticks something inside of you, and removes part of your body, it's surgery. (Apologies. I write humorous science fiction & fantasy, so sometimes my keyboard has a mind of it's own.) After Doc Handsome performed a cystoscopy, which was quick and barely uncomfortable, I signed up for a Green Light Laser Partial Prostatectomy. Sounds fun, right? It's not for your prostate, but that's a good thing. Basically the handsome, excellent doctor sticks a laser up your penis. The laser emits light at a frequency which boils the blood inside your prostate, killing off the overgrown prostate tissue which is squeezing the crap out of your urethra, and stopping you from peeing. The operation isn't bad. You are sedated, and it takes all of 30 minutes. You wake up with a catheter, which remains in for up to three glorious days, schlepping around a bag of bloody urine strapped to your leg. It's then a month or two of slightly burning urination whilst peeing out tiny bits of body parts. Tissue, and blood, and urine, Oh My! It doesn't hurt, it's just a little freaky. This is your body's way of shedding the inner parts of the prostate which were ravaged, but in a good way, by the magical laser. All that sucks, but here's the good part. Two months later, after 5 years of pain, worrying I had cancer, and dribbling, painful urination, thankfully, now at 63, I stopped taking 2 urinary drugs I've been taking for years, can drink coffee again, and pee like a teenager. I fact, after the surgery, my wife had to come into the bathroom and ask, "What's all the noise in there?" "Music to my ears, my love," was my happy reply. All kidding aside, Dr. Robbins is an excellent physician. He has superior knowledge of many techniques and even teaches them. He is caring and compassionate. As I left his office on my pre-op visit, he said, "don't worry. I got you," and the handsome, excellent doctor did. PS Jackson North, where Dr. Robbins performed the procedure is first rate. The facilities are brand new and the staff are the most professional. warm group of healthcare providers I've encountered.
[Written originally on 12/22/2021. Rewritten for grammar, word use, and clarity.] Dr. Robbins is an intelligent and modest young man, though not so young that he doesn't know his stuff. He does. That's precisely what you want another, in a doctor. I don't need a friendly practitioner who feels compelled to chat. Answer my questions? Sure. Talk about Sunday's game? Nope. Fact is, I don't let a lot of docs touch, poke, or prod me. It was his demeanor and acceptance of my quirks (yup. I've got 'em) that enabled me to give him permission to get me into an operating room and vaporize one of my man parts without fear. (What!? No kidding! He vaporized a part near my very favorite "man part!") And though I was terrified of the pain I imagined "little me" would suffer, he remained quiet and confident. He didn't try to convince me one way or another, and without my knowledge, he took special precautions to shield me from the excruciating pain I feared. Fun fact: my operation yielded no pain! Yeah, I have a business to operate, and I didn't like sitting in the waiting or examination rooms because he was late for our appointments. I've been known to walk out of doctors' offices for that. But I realized I found an excellent doctor and, for reasons unbeknownst to me, I like him. He's a cordial, straight-shootin' kinda guy. And he's worth waiting for (although nobody who operates a business should make customers wait so long. And FYI, medicine is a business). If you want the job done right, David Robbins will deliver.
The care and procedures Dr. Robbins and his capable staff performed on me were nothing short of life-changing, relieving serious BPH symptoms I suffered from for a long time. I’m deeply grateful to Dr. Robbins skills, care and staff. I’d been to many Urologists who prescribed meds that gave no relief or, they wanted to perform the single procedure they offered without regard to risks of retrograde and worse possible consequences I had read about and knew of from other men who told me of their procedure results. It all came to a head when urinary retention required me have several ER visits and wearing a catheter/bag. Dr. Robbins on referral from my local Urologist, carefully explained he could do all procedures other Urologists offered and would advise which one he thought, with his experience and skills, would have the likely best outcome. He advised Greenlight Laser with his experience of Preservation techniques. He did the procedure on me. Healing was uncomfortable the first week. Every week thereafter I felt significantly better. About the 6th week I felt great. I now feel 18 years old again. I sleep through the night without needing to get up…haven’t done that in 20 years. I have no urgency to pee at all. Zero side effects and no retrograde issues at all. Dr. Robbins office is very busy. Yet all my appointments were on time with no extra waiting room time. Once in an examining room, Dr. Robbins gave me ample personal time explaining and going over all the options and procedures. His PA Nicole was extremely helpful too. Dr. Robbins is an amazingly skilled, experienced and knowledgeable Urologist. He’s a good and kind man who put me at ease for a procedure I’d avoided for too long. Thank you Dr. Robbins…
