James Howitt's Online Review Report Card

Excellent service, caring and attentive staff.

The staff was rude, inattentive and would not answer questions about insurance and billing. Then my chart was mispalced and I was sitting for one hr waiting to be seen for a refraction. I paid 30 dollars only to be told that I can see 20/20 with my glasses. The doctor seemed very rushed and didn't answer my questions adequately. He told me to look on the internet about a condition that could cause blindness instead of sitting and explaining it to alleviate my anxiety and fear. I have been a patient in this office for about 40 years. I probably will not go back.

I have been a patient of Dr. Howitt and Howitt Eye Care for over 30 years. They have taken me through glasses, contact lenses, retina problems, dropped eye lid surgery so I could see better and much much more. Dr. Howitt has state of the art equipment. He has always been professional, caring snd friendly. I have since moved from Miami but continue to drive from Central Florida for my yearly visit. I can highly recommend Howitt Eye Care

Waiting over 1 1/2 asking the front desk what’s going on, its seem she don’t care about customers service and encourage to file a complaint instead of helping and explaining why it’s take too long to wait. Waiting time and patient scheduling un acceptable .

Doctor Howitt is a capable doctor but he is frenetic. He and his partner schedule an avalanche of patients and nobody seems to care that patients are sitting and waiting, sometimes for hours. Their bookkeeping practices are 'back of the napkin'...really unacceptable. I am moving to a different doctor whose practice has a professional reputation.

Appalling, unwelcoming service. Referred here by primary doctor to get laser services done. The staff walked around doing nothing. After an hour of waiting they lied and said that they were waiting on my PCP orders. Funny thing is, my PCP sent orders over weeks prior. When I was finally called, I saw that my file was placed to the side. I don’t know if this was discriminatory, negligence, or just plain not caring for patients, it was out right disrespectful. I hope that the physicians of this establishment rectify this issue quickly. I would not recommend anyone to this place. As healthcare professionals, please strive to do better ethically and morally.

Waiting time and patient scheduling are unacceptable . No customer service at all. Check in @10:30 for 11:am appointment, called in at 12:30pm, check out at 2:00pm. Dr.Howitt please get yourself a break and get time to look and check front desk stuff performance and training. You are a good doctor, but the team member need attention sorry.

Esther Sanchez was rude and didn't bother to listen to what I was saying. I am not in the habit of giving interest free loans to my doctors. Also, I made an appointment with Dr. Howitt but another doctor saw me even though Dr. Howitt was in the office. Again, no one bothered to tell me why I was seeing another doctor when I specifically asked for Dr. Howitt when I made the appointment.
