Barry Schapiro's Online Review Report Card

In 2006 I had a terrible car accident. I was sent to a terrible hospital but met this Angel. I went in with a dislocated and broken my hip and was told I might not be able to ever walk again. Doctor Shapiro came into the emergency room and was the most incredible person. He took amazing care of me and I thank god everyday for him. He performed surgery on my hip and was able to make me walk perfect again. Im pretty sure he probably doesnt remember me but I will always be greatfull for the way he took me into his care and the incredible work he performed on me. Its been 16 years I have had 2 daughters and I’m still as good as new. I only followed up with him for about one year after my accident but I Just wanted to take the time write this incase he ever gets to read this. Thank you!!! There is not a day that goes by that I dont think about how lucky I got to have had you as my surgeon ??

Doctor Schapiro was great! He took the time to explain everything and my surgery went exactly as he planned. His Physician's assistant and staff were also wonderful. Thanks again Doc!

This doctor has NO respect for you or your time. every appointment I had to wait TWO HOURS past the scheduled appointment time. He also changed locations and his office staff didn't even bother to call me to inform me so upon my arrival you can imagine my surprise when I was informed that he was at his other location! when he FINALLY steps in the room his bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. he seems to have forgotten his oath as a doctor! he makes you feel like you are a bother and doesn't listen to you the patient nor does he like to think outside the box! NOT EVERYONE FITS INTO A BOX! he is not willing to work collectively with you on your path to healing! If I could give him negative stars I would and they would be endless!! Don't walk from him …...RUN!! and RUN FAR!!

Horrible bed side manner very uncaring and rude. Instead of sending me for an MRI, he went on to tell me there was risks involved and those were that I would have to drive 2hours which would waste my gas, its not safe to get them so often (had one 4months ago) and that someone would have to pay and that i wasn't going to be the one paying. Accused me of wanting him to declare me disabled. He even walked out of the room and yelled at me to go get my papers in the front. I was the 3rd to leave mad

Dr. Schapiro is a great doctor, but the staff and everybody else that works there is a joke! I was in the exam room for 2 1/2 hours waiting for someone to just put a cast on me. The guy that did the cast kept leaving the room and was literally on his phone texting when I was just sitting there staring at him. Very bad first impression!!!!! Don't think I will be going back. My appointment was at 11:15. I didn't leave until 2:45.

2 and a half yrs ago I had a full knee replacement in Seattle, WA I have suffered pain every day. After 2 1/2 years, the workmens comp known in WA as L&I, sent me for a second opinion. He walked in the room and me I need surgery to fix it. Let's do it! Love that doctor!

I'm sure Dr Schapiro is a good doctor. But his attitude needs adjustment Upon completing the initial interview with both his assistant & an intern, who concluded I needed a wound care physician I decided to leave & pursue the option. The doc caught me in the hall, took a a look & wanted to do xray. Even after I mentioned one was done which showed no break or bone problems. He insisted I needed an X-ray. I declined, he got upset & rudely dismiss me. Went to ER, all good, just infected. Antibiotic

you must have some very old information. I saw Dr. Schapiro in his Orlando office. He now works for Advanced Orthopaedics. He was excellent and so is the staff there

Very proffessional. Did a great job on my surgery. I had no post op pain at all. has a new office with a great new staff at Performance Ortho& Sports Med. Didn't have to wait too long in the waiting room. Caring doctor and staff. Very pleased with the outcome of my surgery. Surgical center was clean and had a friendly staff. Would definatly recomend.
