Dr Holmes is a very good Doctor, his main objective is to help his patients. He is great at making you understand how your brain chemistry works and if you need medication to help you he will prescribe it if not he wont. If he feels you need a medication he will explain to you what the medicine does to your brain to help you. Hes not a "sit down and talk your problems out" kind of Doctor hes a lets see what the problem is so we can fix it kind of Doctor. Which I like because to me personally talking about all my problems isnt making me feel anything but worst. DR.Holmes has helped me tremendously. He always greets you nicely and is a pleasant dr. His staff is always very nice & professional and has a very neat clean office with some beautiful paintings that he painted himself. Im very greatful I found him!

Dr. Holmes and his staff are a true gem for rural Middle Tennesseans. I've be seeing him for 6 years & I'm also a mental health professional so tend to be very picky. He is the best psychiatrist I've ever had - clear, to the point, extremely intelligent, knowledgeable and has always been responsive to when my needs have changed. His staff are also fantastic -they return calls the same day (unlike most doctors) & are knowledgeable & kind. The ONLY doctor I've ever had who does Prior Authorizations on meds BEFORE they expire without me having to call. All around a top notch practice. Worth the 3 hour drive!

Dr. Husted is by far the most experienced, educated and compassionate psychiatrist I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He truly is one of a kind.

He is horrible Dr. Husted sees one of my family members and provides the person whatever drugs they want. They are on sleeping pills and ADHD medication and now my family member is addicted and has lost multiple jobs and sleeps for weeks at a time and won’t answer anyone. We told him our concern and he still gives my family member these pills and doesn’t care about there QOL. This is sad.

If you want a doctor that cares, this is not the one for you. He will talk over you, and not listen to any feelings you have about your mental health unless he can prescribe a pill for it. He has over medicated me and shut me down when I tried to explain symptoms I have. He even walked me to the door refusing to continue conversation about my concerns. His solution to every issue I have had has been to increase my dosages on my medications. He is very rude, and sharp. You wait 15-20 minutes in his office only to meet with him for 3 minutes at most.
