Some departments are amazing but most not so much. The are always understaffed. Getting appointments can be a nightmare. They lose staff but often don't higher new people or most don't want to work there. I'm not saying or accusing anyone of anything. But I think it's very suspicious they are always understaffed , keep losing people and paying staff lower wages, but they can afford alot of fancy equipment that sits in hall ways and collects dust.

I wrote this review six years ago and I just read that a veteran committed suicide in the same area I was being held in against my will. My sincerest apologies to the family of the veteran who took his life while he was supposed to be getting HELP! I am here for anyone who has legal complaints against this so called hospital. It is a legitimate kill factory. I wrote this review so long ago, and this could have been avoided. My complaints went unanswered. I’ve witnessed the mental health ward release a dementia patient on his own recognizance…he had no family and was wandering cluelessly by the front pickup line. How do you release someone who can’t take care of themself, who is there because they can’t take care of themselves. The employees on the ward have a strong hatred for white people and America. There should be an investigation, but the VA doesn’t do that. I was not a human in this federal organization's eyes. I was mentally and physically harmed while on the inpatient psych ward. The staff does not address emergencies, the care is atrocious and they do not listen to complaints. I just wanted the care that I needed and left in a worse mental state than when I arrived at that kill factory. Not to mention, the staff lost my previous hospitalization paperwork. They lost my clothes too, but after 14 hours they were found. I had to lie and say I was okay in order to get discharged so I did not harm the very disrespectful and lacking basic medical knowledge staff. I was given the right medicine, wrong format, wrong dose, wrong route and the staff lied to me and said it was okay. I have since hired a lawyer that deals with VA Medical Malpractice.

The A team does not work here. Many people are hired here because they can't get a job anywhere else or because they were in trouble somewhere else. Corey Price fosters a hostile work environment and should be dismissed without haste, so good people stop leaving. I wish that Congressman Mast would take a renewed interest in this facility. Quality of care is shown by the fact that 6-foot fences are attached to all the tops of the walls of the top parking areas of the hospital which indicates obvious lack of care. Must I say anything else? Well, so what about it?

some how they are always understaffed. they have a scheduling system that is designed to fail. waiting 6 months for an appointment just to be cancelled a few weeks out with no reason other then sucks to suck. they cant afford staff or the pay staff properly but they can afford super expensive beds and medical equipment that will just sit and collect dust.

One word to describe this hospital is “Ghetto”. Rude employees, dirty floors, very hostile place. Would never recommend this place to any veteran. I had the opportunity to work there for over 5 years and they never cleaned the floors in primary care clinics. Sexual harassment was “normal”. The leadership is nonexistent. They are there just for the paycheck. Employees do whatever they want, I’ve seen drunk employees, cleaning staff sleeping… it’s a disgrace, you may think is good because of the federal government funds but the place is just horrible. Sad part, most employees are also veterans. Worst experience in over 15 years going to different facilities. This is by far, the worst. If you can, go somewhere else. There’s a reason why this facility is getting a 1 star rating across the nation. Patient advocate does nothing, Brian Mast does nothing, director does nothing. Since 2018 this facility has been getting worse, not to mention all the staff that left during COVID at the same time, including doctors, clerks etc. Needs further investigation, it all starts from the poor leadership and terrible work culture.

The West Palm Beach VA is a nightmare and it's 100% because of the incompetent locals they hire for all the clerical jobs. Good doctors but these people are terrible and have zero accountability

Hands down, by and large, without a doubt, THE best VA in the whole system. I’ve been a patient and an employee, and in a holistic sense, from quality of care, staff culture, and on to the grounds themselves (the flag-lined drive up is a nice touch), this is the standard for VA care and is what vets deserve. If every VA was of this caliber, the stereotypes would change for the better…all that said, my heart hurts in that the Cuban coffee kiosk shut down, and believe it or not but having a cortado Cuban coffee on offer makes this feel like they care about us locals (Starbucks ain’t it). Thanks to the medical staff & all supporting employees for making this VA what it should be: a place for healing. Thank y’all for your service!

Very friendly staff. Arrived early and was called in before my appointment time (great!). Very knowledgeable doctor. Was pleased.

Dont waste your time going to the emergency room especially if its after hours & around a holiday.
