Traumatic experience! A hyaluronic acid injection was applied to one of my hips by Dr. Jean Jose a few days ago. He may be a competent and knowledgeable physician, but he is very much lacking in bedside manners. He should concentrate more on his teaching than attending patients. Without me asking, he assured me that the procedure would be painless. This was a surprise to me as my hips have been injected five times before; four times with adipose stem cells and the last and most recent one was when steroids where injected to the bursa on both sides of my body in the greater trochanter last month. ALL of these injections were painful. However this time my pain was EXCRUCIATING to the point that I came out confused and depressed, and I am a strong charactered person. In the room there was a nurse, two interns and Dr. Jose. The first injection was supposed to numb the area, I guess, as there was no explanation of the process; different from all my other experiences where the doctors were kind and explained every step of the process as they went in. Well this time, aside from no explanation, there was no delay between one injection and the other even though I had explicitly and emphatically informed the interns and nurse that my body is slow in picking up anesthesia. As I was agonizing in pain and communicating this to whoever could hear me in the room … inches away … there was no sign of sympathy or empathy. It was as if I was talking to the air. Dr. Jose did explain what the recovery would be like after he was done. Lastly, is is also surprising that the doctor’s notes say that “patient tolerated well.”

Dr. Jean Jose and his entire staff went out if they're way to make sure that my treatment happened on my scheduled day. We arrived to find out the order had been sent over incorrectly and was at risk of having to cancel and reschedule. How entire team sprang to action and got my referring Dr on the phone and had them send over a new order. They were all fantastic, especially the nurse Kassandra. I would highly recommend Dr. Jose and his entire team.

Dr. Jose was very kind. He did a great job with my knee! I’m back to running and couldn’t be more grateful. Excellent doctor!

Great doctor! His methods of work can be very quick but also very effective, acknowledging any potential risk and addressing along the way.

My experience with Dr Jean Jose was amazing!! No other doctor could do better. I had a problem with my shoulder, constant pain, etc. He obviously fixed it with no rush, hostile behavior, or messy room. Quite opposite actually. He had a very neat office area, amazing attitude, and made sure everything was done corecctly and smoothly as possible. Thank you Dr Jose, you are a life saver.

Dr. Jose said there was risk of failure to my hip replacement if he injected cortisone to my hip flexor bursa as my surgeon had prescribed. He could not provide any studies or percentages. It was obvious he did not want to do it. I drove two hours from the Keys to Coral Gables. He could have explained over the phone when he got my prescription. When he said "if it was my hip, I would not do it" I felt I had to leave. My surgeon disagrees and there are no studies to back up his opinion.

Dr. Jose saved my life! He is the most caring and dedicated doctor I have ever experienced. After getting wrong diagnosis elsewhere, Dr. Jose was able to determine and find exactly what my condition was, and was able to address it in the most professional and precise manner. Thank you Dr. Jose for your kindness!!

Terrible doctor. Really rude, rushed. Poor explanations of his decisions and recommendations.
