Victor Matthews's Online Review Report Card

One of our worse experiences. Dr. Matthews showed no interest in my daughter's health or wellbeing. My daughter was overweight but only eating 800 calories per day and was referred to Dr. Matthews as a specialist. This was a scary and vulnerable time for my daughter. Lab work, food journal, and abnormal cortisol panel were all provided then discussed with Dr. Matthews who said the abnormal cortisol panel didn't mean anything. Then, he said "weight is a simple equation; calories in and calories out." I couldn't believe my ears. Did he just call my daughter a liar? Dr. Matthews was very clearly trying to imply my loved one was eating many more calories than 800 a day. I know myself exactly how many calories my daughter eats because I have bought the food for our household for many years and I can see what she eats and what food is missing. She is a child with no money of her own and no way of eating other foods besides what I provide. The rest of the appointment was meaningless & cost a lot of money. We eventually found the right answer to her weight issue through our own personal research into health and weight issues. It was Metabolic Syndrome coupled with an allergy to certain foods including wheat. After a few months of eating according to new helpful knowledge, she began dropping pounds overnight and now has lost all the extra weight...no thanks to this doctor. Go to this doctor only if you want to have someone ignore what you tell him, be disbelieved, gaslighted, receive unhelpful advice, and be treated with disrespect, disregard, and disdain.

I've been seeing Dr.Matthews for over 10 years and the staff situation has gone down hill. No one answering phone always have to leave a message. You might get a return call. I love Dr. Matthews but the patient care has gone way down.

I will start with Dr. Matthew's is a fantastic doctor. But his operation is a 5-star clusterf%$k. Had an appointment recently and was there on time. Unfortunately, the internet was down and he didn't come back from lunch, leaving me sitting in waiting room for 40 minutes before I asked what the problem was and then was told Dr Matthews wasn't coming back for my appointment because of the internet issue. Receptionist told me to call the office the next day to set another appointment. Called the next morning and as usual I had to leave a voice mail because NOBODY EVER answers the damn phone there.

I finally got a referral to see this doctor and I'm unable to get a hold of anybody. Their message is so fast that I couldn't even get their email address so that I can send them my information. Why don't they have their email address or even a website to check out and send information on?????????? Nevertheless, yesterday's message did not include the fact that they're closed today which is Friday. Otherwise I would have waited until Monday to call again.

The entire staff is EXTREMELY rude! I can’t get through the phone to get any meds and I always get treated like trash when I come! And the new lady sadly is the worse!! Would NOT recommend. I tried to take my one star back if that explains enough.

Dr Mathews is amazing but his staff is failing his patients! I have been insulin dependent for 30 years and cannot get a refill for life saving meds. I've left messages. I called during open hours and no one answervduring business hours.

I've been a patient for almost 8 years now for my Type-1 diabetes. Victor and Kelley are amazing! The professionalism and the attention to detail are unmatched. They make you feel like they truly care.

He is so easy to talk to. I just love him. He calls me And I text hi. Whenever I need too, even on weekends. Great dr listens to me and makes me feel human, not a robot.
