Met this doctor while in rehab after total hip replacement. Yes, he is different. If you want a white coat doctor, then continue with the straight forward, long face MD you have. If you want someone who believes laughter is the best policy, listens, and remembers you.......then see Alex Martinez. Rather he has his white or tuxedo coat on, or his loud colored shirts......know the most important thing to this man, is your well being.

He's a cross between Dr. Doogie Howser, Dr. Patch Adams and Dr. Marcus Welby M.D. and that's a good thing. If you can't handle a little fun along with the truth, then find another Dr. May he never leave Ocala because Dr.'s like him are hard to find.UPDATE:For those wondering why Dr. Martinez left, the answer is when Advent Health took over, they decided to put Dr.'s on a pay scale lower than what they were making. Some with 20+ years fought and won their case but Dr. Martinez with 14+ years of experience would have been making the same as a physician with one. Therefore, Dr. Martinez left Advent Health. On doing so, he was locked out of working for any other group in Marion County that was a competitor to Advent Health for 2 years. The same applied to his office staff. That was in 2017. I ran into a friend of his and there's a good chance we might be able to see him return to either his own practice or with another group, hopefully 2020. At the moment he's working at area rehab centers and nursing homes so stay tuned.

Best Dr I have ever seen. Now apparantly has disappeared .. no where to be found. Been missing for a long time now. Still advertised at old address. It's all hush hush when you ask where the dr went. Must be a big scandal for no one to know of his where abouts. Not very professional if you ask me.

Best doctor. Really listens to his patients. One thing I was told he was leaving this office. Can anyone verify that he is still practicing at this facility? I need an appointment but I only want to see Dr Martinez!!!
