Daniel Weinberg's Online Review Report Card

In retrospect, this review was naive of me. I had never been under any other psychiatric care before, so I didn't realize how bad it was. He diagnosed me a bipolar 2 when I was actually just experiencing joy, not mania, after being in a very deep depression. He asked questions in a way that didn't allow for there to be gray area in my answers. Mental health isn't straight forward always, and I didn't know that I could have been getting better help. I would NOT recommend him. Original Post on Apr 17, 2017- "Never had the experience that others on here complained of. He listened to what I said and was attentive and responsive."

He was my psychiatrist for 5 years until he left Lakeland. I had read all the negative reviews and comments, etc., but he was always pleasant with me. If you need a warm and fuzzy type of doctor, he is not the one for you. He can be aloof and sort of awkward, but he was knowledgeable and understanding and listened and got straight to the point in my visits. He was always fine with me, even pretty friendly.

Absolutely awful!!! Disgrace!!! Screwed up my son. Told him he was schizophrenic!!! He had him heavely medicated. My son was in deep depression because of him. Horrible. Do not see him!!!!

I am filing a malpractice suit against Mr. Weinberg and reporting him to Medicare for Fraud. This man without even speaking to me for more than one minute decided I needed to be institutionalized which was really extreme for my symptoms. The very next week he wanted to discharge me because I confronted him issues I was concerned with. He put another patients information in my file. I saw it, he refused to take accountability for it and when he finally did, said I badgered him. Well yeah, it’s my file and my care!

Dr. Weinberg is an amazing doctor. Five stars!!!

I would not recommend anyone to Dr. Weinberg or the Vines Hospital in Ocala, His demeanor is unprofessional and the staff at the facility fails to provide even a modicum of professionalism in the handling of patients and their families. This is a facility that should be thoroughly re-organized or closed down. They claims this facility is a "for profit" place of business and that is certainly the only thing they care about... No family or friend should be allowed to there. My son was a patient.

Dr. Weinberg has provided exceptional care for me for several years. He has always been available even at short notice, and always showed compassion and care. His sessions weren't just about medication management but also counseling and care of the patient. He is the best psychiatrist I have been to and wish he was still in practice.

I saw Dr. Weinberg for over 5 years. I looked forward to my sessions and felt better after each one.

I'm still curious what happened. My PCP told me that he just came in one day and dropped off his resignation to the board and left with little or no warning. I never had a terrible experience but yeah there were times he was rude. Don't see him if you are a sensitive person or want to talk about your feelings. I can say that he prescribed me meds that helped me very much so I'm greatful. I think I would have ended up in a psych ward if I hadn't seen him when I did. [Patient for 5 years]
