Was a positive experience

After my breast cancer diagnosis, I felt hopeless until I was referred to Dr McFaddin. I spent weeks researching Moffitt cancer center and others in Gainsville. In addition to a successful and perfect breast surgery. I was also given the individual attention that is so important for women with this diagnosis. I did not want to feel like a number so I chose to stay in Ocala. His staff and the doctor were in tune with an individual plan. His staff coordinated everything from the scheduling to the day of surgery and all follow ups needed perfectly. I feel both relieved and blessed to have had the best doctor and team during a very stressful time.

Very caring doctor and staff. Dr. McFaddin took the time to explain my diagnosis to myself and family. Never felt rushed or left with any questions. His staff if very caring and up-beat. My follow up visit after surgery was just as thorough. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and understanding surgeon.

Dr. McFaddin's staff members are very cautious and professional. Dr. Mcfaddin is a very talented surgeon. I am very pleased with the result.

Dealing with the staff at Dr. McFadden's office has been awesome. The staff tried everything they could to assure that my husband would be able to get his hernia surgery as scheduled. Our PCP office dropped the ball and he was unable to get surgery. The staff left over 13 messages that were uunanswered by the PCP office. The staff worked with the surgery center and the insurance company trying to make it happen. Hopefully he will be able to get it rescheduled ASAP. Thanks for trying.

Dr. McFaddin and his entire staff are AMAZING!! Dr. McFaddin took time with me to explain and make sure I understood exactly what was going to happen during my surgery with him. His office staff is super professional & friendly. They're all very caring people. I highly recommend Dr. McFaddin's office!

I was referred to Dr McFaddin to fix bi-lateral inguinal hernia. Was not overly impressed in consult as I felt like a customer instead of a patient. We went ahead and scheduled the surgery for about a week after the consult July 8, 2021. About ten days after surgery I was still feeling the same pain as before on my right side and brought to his attention. He informed me that it was just post operative pain and part of the healing process. I expected recovery pain but this was the same pain I felt before the surgery. I went back and forth between him and my original family doctor. The family doctor (which their practice has labs, cat scan, and ultrasound equipment on site) told me to go to the ER and they would give me a follow up back to him and maybe they would refer me to a pain doctor. I told him I didn’t want a pain doctor but only to know if this pain was normal or if there was something else causing the pain. I told him it didn’t make sense to go to the ER and pay elevated costs (I have insurance) and waste time when the last trip to the ER I never saw a doctor and they never did a physical exam, only a cat scan and ultrasound because their practice had the necessary equipment if needed. Needless to say I did not go to the ER but found another family doctor who felt what I felt and also made an appointment with a Urologist. I went back for a follow up with Dr McFaddin and once again he felt the issue when he did the exam and said it may be the bottom of the mesh and he would not feel comfortable doing surgery again to find the issue causing pain. I am writing this on August 28, 2021 and I still am having pain and now it is excruciating through both sides and top of my pelvis to the point it stops me in my tracks. I went back to the new family doctor and got him to refer me to another surgeon. Throughout all of this I have been to Dr McFaddin’s office, which was closed at 2:30 on a weekday, and called several times and left messages with no return calls. I will be waiting to see what new surgeon says and then update this post. I hope this helps anyone who may be referred to Dr McFaddin.
