I’m inclined to agree with the 1 star reviewer here. Dr Rao seemed to be in a rush and wanted me to agree to a couple of procedures (cat scan/cystoscopy). I had questions but he kept pushing me for an answer so I said no. He asked why and I told him I didn’t like his demeanor or attitude. I got up to leave and said have a nice day to which he replied “you’re banned from this practice”, kind of a “you can’t fire me I quit” response which seemed vindictive and immature. I laughed and left. Doctors, listen to your patients’ questions and concerns and answer them patiently and respectfully.

Dr Rao is terrific, he saved my life! I would give him a Gold Star, if I could!

I was a patient of his for 4 years monitoring PSA numbers and of course, my PSA went high after a normally scheduled checkup. He made recommendations about needing a biopsy and then asked me what I wanted to do when cancer of the prostate was detected, continue monitor or surgery. I wanted surgery and he concurred to have it removed. The staff was always helpful and I NEVER felt rushed or was put down. He explained the process of surgery as well as what was needed for recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Rao and don't let the negative comments impact your decision. There were several people who blamed the staff for errors but listening to the conversations, the patients were the ones at fault as well as the negative comments because they felt the world revolves around them. Sure there are days where waiting is needed because I want to have my time with Dr. Rao and he gave me the time I needed. Thank you for helping me have the cancer removed from my body.

Have been going to Dr.Rao for 6-7 years and would highly recommend him to anyone with any urology issues. About two years ago, after a slowly rising PSA, Dr.Rao performed DaVinci Radical Prostectamy in Oct. 2019. Right now after a year and a half, my PSA is still being tested and comes back as undetectable. I believe the knowledge and skill in the surgery room of Dr.Rao is one of the reasons I have done so well , before, during, and after my surgery. Dr.Rao is a very caring and knowledgeable Dr. And I will be his patient for hopefully Many Years to come !

Not sure Doctor Rao understands American English-speaking patients who live in the villages. He had no patience with any questions and waved off any opinion you might have. Also, staff requires everyone to give a urine sample even if you’re there just to take a scheduled shot—not sure I like my insurance having to pay for extraneous procedures. And if you don’t give them the sample they Literally stare at you and yell “you refuse!??” very touchy with urine specimens. Hate to think what they charge our insurance companies for them. Be prepared to wait in an office for the doctor 45 minutes to an hour. Rao will then come in to chat for 2 minutes and leave—possibly might come back. Had 2 appointments—he came back once. His time is much more important then yours.

Dr Rao is very professional, has a pleasant personality, he is easy to talk to, answered my questions, explained my procedure and future treatment. Office personnel and staff were pleasant, courteous, friendly, and patient.

Dr. Rao is a wonderful, caring physician. His staff is great, especially his nurse Glenda who is truly amazing. I would recommend Dr. Rao and his staff to everyone that needs his expertise. Tune G.
