My wife was hospitalized in June 2019 for blood clots in her lungs, She was prescribed Eliquis and Dr Bhatt became her Pulmonary doctor. Without any testing, Dr. Bhatt took my wife off of Eliquis in Feb 2020. Approx 2 months later, my wife started having the same symptoms as she had before being admitted to the hospital. I called Dr. Bhatt and he ordered a scan and blood work, and subsequently told me that everything was "normal." He declined to examine her or put her back on Eliquis. Approximately five weeks later, my wife's breathing had worsened to the point that she could not walk from our living room to the bathroom without being completely winded and fatigued to the point that she needed to sit down. I took her to the hospital emergency room and she was diagnosed to have blood clots in both lungs. She was again hospitalized for 4 days. She was scheduled to see Dr. Bhatt after she was discharged but we were subsequently notified it would be with an APRN in his office.

He wanted to do more study, said no other way, Blue Cross said yes there is. Auto adjust cpap. But no one even looked at my nose to see if it works. Having a hard time. Dr. was in room about 5 min.

Terrible bedside manner, no empathy, and incomplete explanations of the situation the patient was in. Didn't feel like he really knew what he was doing - whether he did or not. Did not have my confidence in caring for my loved one.
